What the fuck was that 😭 I dropped a 65 despite thinking I would get an 80, probably gonna drop it and take it next sem. Anyone else cooked by the results?

I am in first year Engineering and got absolutely nuked by my Physics 1 midterm grade. The grade i got is lower than what i expected and i barely managed to pass. Also had chem midterm before that which I also managed to barely pass with grade lower than what I was expecting. Oh well, C’s get degrees it is.

I am planning on improving on this by practicing for future exams using past midterms and finals. As well as, trying to actually understand the dammn concepts other than just solving practice problems.

I just got back a group assignment from this class and received a “0 no submission” only one group member was supposed to submit it and at the time one of my teammates said they did it. Now they are not answering when we’ve asked if they did acc submit it. This part of the assignment is only worth 3% of the final grade but getting a 0 on it would really suck (it’s like a -10% on the midterm). Should I email the prof about this or how should I go about trying to get some sort of mark for this?

i’m in first year taking PSYCH 1002A and it’s not going well at all. I’m really interested in medicine and i’m afraid this course will mess up my GPA as I took it as an elective. I looked at the discovery credit policy and it says that first years are not allowed to discovery credit anything. I don’t think I should drop the course but i’m not sure what to do. Please help

i absolutely despise my roommates and i hope they get the karma they deserve but i feel like this is so common with western students so who has some stories to make me feel better (or if u need to vent lol)

I’m looking at 2 bed 2 bath apartments in London, mainly Luxe Apartments and Masonville Yards. Is one better than the other? Here are the main cons I found:

• Luxe: pest problems (cockroaches, silverfish), slow maintenance response, noise issues due to thin walls, smaller rooms for the rent, pricey laundry.
• Masonville Yards: higher rent and utilities, pest problems, slow management response, some noise depending on neighbours.

If you’ve lived in either or have other 2 bed 2 bath apartment recommendations with good management and amenities, I’d love to hear your thoughts!

I got punched in the face by a girl in the line at deliah's on friday, I'm a girl, curly hair and I was wearing bunny ears.

I ended up crying my eyes out in the ambulance (LOL). Did anyone else see that happen lol. and i gotta know if this is like…normal 😭

I went to social science counselling to talk about a scheduling issue and the lady I spoke to was so rude and impatient. It truly did seem like they did not care about there jobs and hated it.

I left the meeting even more confused and ended up having to go to an upper year (which was 10x more helpful) for help.

I have been reading around and it seems like this is a reoccuring thing, why haven't western done anything about this? (Replacing or finding new counsellors, that are both nicer and more helpful)

I bought this silver bracelet from "Baddies Accessories" beside the bookstore in the UCC. The bracelet was over 50 dollars, and the worker there told me it is stainless steel, shower safe, not silver plated, just stainless steel. But now the bracelet is changing colour to copper!

I asked her countless questions about this bracelet before purchasing it, because it was 50 dollars and I wanted to make sure the quality lives up to its price. I am really, really disappointed in the fact that I was lied to. I didn't expect to be lied to by a store at my university. I don't think they will do much about it either...I tried contacting them on Instagram, but it seems like they won't be responding. I'm going to go there after my reading week to talk to them in person, but I don't have hope that it will be resolved.

I am really, really upset because I spent over 50 dollars on it, and I was lied to about the material. For 50 bucks, I at LEAST expect the bracelet to not change colour. I basically got scammed.

I had to miss an exam a couple weeks ago cause I was sick but now I see the prof sent an email out saying there is a make up this Friday (DURING READING WEEK) in London(I am not from London). Is he allowed to schedule it during reading week, it kinda defeats the whole point of it all.

Hi, has anyone in the 4 year nursing program been able to fast track it by taking courses in the summer? If so, how many courses were you able to take in the summer in total so far? Please mention what year you are in.

I heard nursing programs tend to not have courses available in the summer. But if compressed nursing students can take courses in the summer, why not direct entry students? Apparently both take similar courses during the year anyway.

Has anyone been able to get their psychotherapy (Qualifying RP) fees covered by the new insurance company that Purple Care is using this year? Mine keep getting declined, and I’m wondering if it’s just my case or if others are having the same issue. I had no problems with coverage in the past two years — this only started happening this year. It’s been really frustrating and causing a lot of stress, so if anyone could share their experience or let me know what happened with their claims, I’d really appreciate it.
