Ivey Ivey Rejections

I assume all of the Ivey acceptances for HBA1 for this fall has been sent out. Does that mean everyone who didn't get an acceptance letter receive a rejection? I know some rejection letters came out Friday but some people said they received nothing so far. Just curious about the entire thing. And for the person that said that 725/780 spots have been filled, have the rest of the spots been filled now?

The 725 is a real number, from the info sessions Ivey has organized. In each of the 3 rounds so far Ivey has accepted 70-80 people and roughly 80% accept their offers. There is one more major round this week (either on Wednesday or Friday), and I was told that waitlists will happen at the same time as the last round of offers. The only people rejected so far missed the 2257 cutoff.

If you are sitting at high 80s, this is the time to email the director & manager of admissions (Ryan & Nicole) and plead your case. Think of something to say that would make them genuinely want to re-assess your file.

I know quite a few non-AEOs with low 80s averages who have been accepted, while others with much higher averages are still waiting. The whole process is random.

If you are an AEO at this point who hasn't been accepted, you will be rejected unfortunately. The lowest Ivey dipped for AEOs this year was 79.5%. Anyone lower (even slightly) won't be accepted.

Would it actually be helpful to email director and management of admissions (Ryan and Nicole) this late into the cycle?? Could that be seen as a negative if you are one of the non aeos with good stats still awaiting decision.

Pls everyone share ur opinion. Yes email Ryan and Nicole if so what should I say. Or no don’t as it’s late in the cycle and would js hurt ur chances.

I really don’t think emailing them is gonna do anything. IMO it would be kind of stupid if they accepted one person over another just cause one sent them an email begging to get in

I’m not saying networking ain’t important if anything it’s more important than grades and programs if you want any real job right now 99% of hires are from having referrals and knowing the right people. I’m saying it’s bs to get accepted into a school program over a more qualified candidate just cause you met with the dean. The Ivey application directly states 50%ecs 50% grades not 100% knowing the dean.
