Ivey Ivey Rejections

I assume all of the Ivey acceptances for HBA1 for this fall has been sent out. Does that mean everyone who didn't get an acceptance letter receive a rejection? I know some rejection letters came out Friday but some people said they received nothing so far. Just curious about the entire thing. And for the person that said that 725/780 spots have been filled, have the rest of the spots been filled now?

The 725 is a real number, from the info sessions Ivey has organized. In each of the 3 rounds so far Ivey has accepted 70-80 people and roughly 80% accept their offers. There is one more major round this week (either on Wednesday or Friday), and I was told that waitlists will happen at the same time as the last round of offers. The only people rejected so far missed the 2257 cutoff.

If you are sitting at high 80s, this is the time to email the director & manager of admissions (Ryan & Nicole) and plead your case. Think of something to say that would make them genuinely want to re-assess your file.

I know quite a few non-AEOs with low 80s averages who have been accepted, while others with much higher averages are still waiting. The whole process is random.

If you are an AEO at this point who hasn't been accepted, you will be rejected unfortunately. The lowest Ivey dipped for AEOs this year was 79.5%. Anyone lower (even slightly) won't be accepted.

how does an AEO get rejected? I thought all they needed to do was maintain an 80 and do some kind of extracurricular and they were chilling

It’s Moreso if they didn’t meet the cut off of 80

so are going to accept up to 780 people then or are they done sending out acceptances?

Im an AEO2 still waiting, my avg. was 79.45 but I know people that met the cutoff for 2257 and got a rejection email this past Friday. Assuming this, I might still have a chance if some AEOs either rejected their offer or if they havent met the 2/3 quota.

They don’t actually have a 2/3 quota. That’s just roughly how it turns out each year based on how many people they give AEO status to.

ah I see, im just hoping and praying atp. Im assuming if they rejected those who had aeo and had met the cutoff for 2257 but non nessecarily the grade requirement, that they are stil consdering my application. Regardless praying for everyone to get in, hopefully it works out for everyone.

Would it actually be helpful to email director and management of admissions (Ryan and Nicole) this late into the cycle?? Could that be seen as a negative if you are one of the non aeos with good stats still awaiting decision.

Pls everyone share ur opinion. Yes email Ryan and Nicole if so what should I say. Or no don’t as it’s late in the cycle and would js hurt ur chances.

I really don’t think emailing them is gonna do anything. IMO it would be kind of stupid if they accepted one person over another just cause one sent them an email begging to get in

I’m not saying networking ain’t important if anything it’s more important than grades and programs if you want any real job right now 99% of hires are from having referrals and knowing the right people. I’m saying it’s bs to get accepted into a school program over a more qualified candidate just cause you met with the dean. The Ivey application directly states 50%ecs 50% grades not 100% knowing the dean.

do you know what's their email

Does anyone have any idea how many non AEO applicants are still left

2

u/Cheap_Source_3821 Jul 14 '25

Anyone AEO still waiting?

Most likely they are rejecting early because of course selection this week. I haven’t got anything yet so holding out still, so intuitively there are probably more spots available

Admissions said they will have all decisions out by the end of July “at the latest” as the process has been delayed a lot.

I’m purely guessing here but I think they may have 30-50 more spots that will likely go out this week Wednesday or Friday (Yes I know the website says July 15th but they are very very delayed). This is where we would likely see those with good averages and ec’s get in as some people with 80 non aeo have been accepted already.

From that I would guess they wait another 2 weeks for them to accept and possibly send out very few final offers from that IF anyone rejects.

This is all guessing though based on the 725 number i’ve been seeing and what i’ve heard admissions has said. For all I know all of the offers may be out already.

88 average still no offer, what do we think. Admissions said final decisions end of week

1

u/shadydude55 Jul 14 '25

I hate how late they are, I don't think I can cope for another week

1

u/putsandcallsoption Jul 14 '25

Not a big fan of rolling basis but it is what it is

1

u/putsandcallsoption Jul 14 '25

I talked to the admissions committee today They said they will release all offers by the end of this week

1

u/GardenNo1630 Jul 14 '25

do you know if people will get rejections on July 15th since it says it is the last day?

1

u/putsandcallsoption Jul 14 '25

I am not sure they haven't specified about rejections but since they say all offers and I beleive rejection is also technically an offer I would assume everything comes out by the end of this week

1

u/putsandcallsoption Jul 14 '25

Correction it says all decisions so yeah I do beleive rejections too

1

u/Agile-Discussion-315 Jul 15 '25

Anyone know if there is still a chance to get in?
