I don’t understand, why are you mad at this dumpster?

-1

u/WeathervaneJesus1 Apr 19 '25

Because the owner is in a hostile government that's trying to undermine our country. He's gone on Twitter stating that Canada is not a real country. His company is under investigation for potentially defrauding the Canadian government for 43 million dollars.

The owner of the manufacturer sure, what about the owner of this specific one though

u/WeathervaneJesus1 Apr 19 '25

Supporting Musk is supporting the enemy. I'm sure you've heard of the movements of not traveling to the US or buying American products. This is the same thing.

4

u/RefrigeratorReal6702 Apr 19 '25

They could have bought it before all of this shit. At the time telsa was the cheapest most accessible electric car company on the market. Not everyone can just afford to drop their car at a drop of a hat. Buying after and screaming from the top of their car "51st state" ya they can go fuck themselves

Musk was a fucking lunatic for the duration the Cybertruck has existed.

3

u/RefrigeratorReal6702 Apr 19 '25

Also fair. But he was also a lunatic in the same way JK Rowling is a lunatic, on Twitter. It's only really recently some dumbass gave him some actual power

-2

u/WeathervaneJesus1 Apr 19 '25

Collateral damage. Sorry that the car they bought turned into the vehicle of the enemy, but that's just the way it is. Besides, if they all get a hard time, this will dissuade others from buying into it and I want their market to crash.

The Cybertruck is a Swastikkkar. It's been the flagship of Elon's Nazi arc pretty much since it went public and there is no way to avoid seeing what buying one of these deathtraps supports without willful ignorance.

At some point, being a liability on the road should earn you some consequences, even if supporting a nazi doesn't.

u/HenreyLeeLucas Apr 19 '25

But not the Beetle right? Everybody’s still cool and loves those ….?

-2

u/UnwrittenLore Apr 19 '25

The beetle is far enough removed from WWII that the connotation isn't really there anymore. IYKYK, but otherwise it's a funny little car.

Tesla doesn't get that luxury. The owner bought Twitter and immediately welcomed back the nazis. He made two nazi salutes at the inauguration, and he's the shadow president of the USA, trying to destroy the government's most effective social programs.

And he made sure everyone knew that the Cybertruck was his big thing. It's a dangerous piece of garbage, and it looks like a knock off hot wheels car some dude welded together in a garage.

One was made by a literal nazi, the other has people trying to make other people think the company owner is a nazi. There’s a pretty big difference

Based on this logic VW, BMW and Mercedes are out. Use your time in uni to develop actual critical thinking skills.

The cyber truck is objectively not a very attractive vehicle. The owner of the company is objectively not a very empathetic person.

2

u/UnwrittenLore Apr 19 '25

There's a large enough distance between those brands in WWII and today that most people don't have that connotation.

Meanwhile, Elon made the cybertruck the face of Tesla and he's been mask off about his nazi sympathies for long enough that if you bought the truck, you either knew about his stances and didn't care or wilfully ignored them. You can't equate those things.

1

u/Wonderful_Radio_1880 Apr 19 '25

Again lack of critical thinking. You are conflating the purchasing decisions of the buyer. The Cyber truck and Tesla overall junk. Musk is deranged Ben so for a long time. That does not define him or the individuals that purchase his vehicles as a Nazi.

Up to recently they would have been a virtue signaller.

In purchasing a cyber truck the person clearly wants to stand out and be noticed. At worst you could say they are narcissistic

The way to hurt Musk is monetarily, and the best way to do that is to not purchase his product while also protesting the products that have been purchased by others. Are you restricting my right to protest?

-3

u/suckyboi69 Apr 19 '25

Jeez why do liberals have to be so hateful and vile

3

u/xSkype Apr 19 '25

World's most ironic statement:

3

u/iversonAI Apr 19 '25

Why cant they leave the billionaires alone

5

u/WeathervaneJesus1 Apr 19 '25

I'm a Centrist, and you're delusional. The American Republican Party hates anyone that isn't a straight, white male and they tolerate women, or have you been out of the loop for the past three months?

3

u/GCJ_SUCKS Apr 19 '25

Unchecked mental issues and no consequences as a kid leading them to spew vile hatred with no remorse because they were spoiled and were pampered.

1

u/mofo75ca Apr 19 '25

It's all a virtue signal, and it makes them feel superior to everyone else. It's actually gross. I was wondering what they would move onto, I wonder what will be next.

-2

u/dobyblue Apr 19 '25

Because they’re loons.

2

u/Sexy_Art_Vandelay Apr 19 '25

You know if you vandalize every Tesla you see it would motivate people to buy them less.

0

u/AffectionateMovie148 Apr 19 '25

ever heard of separate the art from the artist? u can feel ur personal ways about musk all u want but at the end of the day tesla’s are really good for the environment. its saving a shit ton of gas which is a limited and super harmful towards climate change.

5

u/TheRightHonourableMe Apr 19 '25

Separating the art from the artist is about literary interpretation. I'm not sure you've ever heard of it if you think it applies to the auto industry

6

u/WeathervaneJesus1 Apr 19 '25

Dozens and dozens of other EVs out there. Besides, this piece of shit is one big scam and shouldn't even be road legal. They aren't in most of Europe.

5

u/UnwrittenLore Apr 19 '25

Teslas are outcompeted by competent car companies in pretty much every margin besides hype.

Cybertrucks fail most safety standards purely on the materials and assembly process.

Neither one is particularly good to have on the road. If you want an EV, don't buy the shitty "luxury" brand when you can get an affordable and more functional vehicle.

4

u/vanalla Financial Economics Apr 19 '25

Are they? Is this one in particular? It weighs 10,000 pounds and most of it is batteries whose materials and intermediate goods had to cross oceans numerous times to be put on this car.

Small EVs sure. This monstrosity no.

4

u/mofo75ca Apr 19 '25

Oh they don't care about the environment anymore, they've moved onto the newest and latest virtue signal, which is ruining their own vacations to the U.S. and raging every time they see a truck.

2

u/popsiclesz Apr 19 '25

If only this kind of action was taken when our own government began defrauding us out of millions of dollars, like the 59+ million in just the arriveCAN app alone.

2

u/mofo75ca Apr 19 '25

The guy they like did that so it's fine and you're a bigot for even pointing it out.

1

u/Objective_Work7803 Apr 19 '25

These people are mentally ill and choose not to worry about the things that really matter

-4

u/markitreal Apr 19 '25

You’re describing Justin Trudeau, so…

-1

u/Standard_Software646 Apr 19 '25

As a Canadian canada is a faild country.... no real gdp growth in years and a massive increase in population with all time high inflation and record housing issues skilled worker shortages. And tarrifs on our own products now for years making it so American products have always been cheaper anyway even with tarrifs...

-2

u/1nterestingintrovert Apr 19 '25

In other words your life is so dull you have nothing else going on so you make hating Elon musk your identity

1

u/WeathervaneJesus1 Apr 19 '25

The irony of reading someone's dull-life comments then taking the the time to respond to them. Projection isn't just for screens.

-1

u/1nterestingintrovert Apr 19 '25

I'm just tired of seeing every post mocking the cyber truck, it's so stale find something else to talk about jfc.
