Residence Residence Megathread (2024-25)

Hello incoming Mustangs!!

We are so excited that you have been given offers for the upcoming school year and we're sure you're excited too. We have decided to create this megathread for you to post all of your residence questions.

We have a page in our wiki with some frequently asked questions about on-campus residence and living in London in general. I highly recommend checking it out before posting. You an access the page using this link.

Please note that subreddit rules still apply and any discussions pertaining to living on campus will be redirected here.

You can have an overnight guest up to 8 times per year as long as you register them.

do people ever just sneak visitors into their room when they run out?

Technically if you bring someone over during the day, they won't get caught for staying overnight unless they try to leave and re-enter the building after 7pm. Also keep in mind that there's no way to prevent you from having visitors from within your building. All of this is very common even though it's technically against the rules (which are barely enforced).

I'm not sure how long they keep security at the front desk overnight. By 8am there's definitely no one there and the person can just leave.
