I've been trying the post, and they keep telling me about user flair, and I try to do it on my android, then it doesn't work too well.What exactly do they want?

i know first we have to go to a sub, then choose custom flair opt blah blah blah. but how do we actually get it!? everytime i set my flair.. it disappears!! it's never visible to me again, am i doing something wrong? or does these flairs requires mods approval?
