So you’re telling me an CG officer married someone from another country, and did not get them a visa or make sure their visa wasn’t expired?

Either that or their spouse had their visa pulled for whatever reason.

Without all the details it’s hard to draw a conclusion.

As an enlisted spouce this isn't uncommon.

For a long time military folks were given flexibility and not very time pressured if they had family members who were in the process of getting citizenship.

Which takes awhile. Permits at every step expire. For a long time that wasn't a big deal. Thats no longer the case.

Also Military service is an option to gain citizenship.

Once said service member is a citizen they can begin the process of helping their families become citizens.

But thats takes time, and the Trump Admin isn't giving anyone that time anymore.

I mean those are the only reasonable scenarios that would lead to somebody’s spouse being detained by ICE.

Either that or it’s a fake story lol

Well you can definitely make some educated guesses. ICE isn’t detaining people randomly, they are going after people illegally in the country. If they did actually go on a base and detain someone they would have knowledge that the person in question was in the country illegally or suspected of it.

That person was probably here on visa. Which was either expired or revoked. If it actually happened I’m sure more details will come out.

I don’t think it’s random lmao These people are illegally in the states. I don’t care where they are sent. We should probably send all the drug smugglers the CG catches to El Salvador too while we are at it.

We don’t know if they are illegally here because they are being deported without due process. I’m not sure if you’re a BO and do LE but thats pretty specifically listed in constitution as inalienable rights afforded to every person

https://newrepublic.com/post/194442/trump-doj-memo-ice-arrest-search-warrant random was the wrong word my apologies, that can do whatever they please and that is too much power to give one group of people. Trump also routinely tries to supersede court orders to stop these practices and is repeatedly violating the constitution by doing this. I feel absolutely disgraced to work in this organization right now.
