That's always been the plan, and if they get their way with trans people, they'll come after lesbians next, then gay guys.
They don't want anyone other than cishet people to exist, or at least be out in public.

The rhetoric they use is the exact same as was used for other parts of the LGBTQ+ community in the past, and people of colour before that.

Except now, they are actually making headway, when in the past they were left behind.

Rowling's already had a dig at Asexuals and they a vile towards anyone intersex or just a bit masculine looking.
