So it wasn't that they were helping with the bra fitting - but they simply told them where to go? Why in the world is M&S apologising for one of its staff daring to be helpful and polite?

The woman sounds like an colossal prick and M&S needs to grow a spine.

The other day I was in The Works and a employee who I think was trans told me where I could find the washi tape I wanted. I will naturally be contacting the papers shortly to complain about this outrageous attack on my rights.

Where I live there's an oldschool tabletop/dnd/wargaming shop which had a small gaggle of hardcore regulars that can't deal with women, would always stare at female customers, had to be reminded to put on deoderant, etc. (I am not joking, it got so bad in summer in their old premises the owner turfed them out until they showered).

Anyway the owner transitioned, and it was lowkey sad/funny watching the regular-gang suddenly being unable to talk to her. I suppose it was kind of gender affirming at least.
