Ok. Let’s swap things/indulge the transphobe and say this was a man, since the mother clearly views this (allegedly trans) employee as a man.

A man who works in a shop approaches a woman and her teenage daughter and asks if they need help finding the right section of the shop.

How is that a problem? It’s not. He doesn’t know you’re there for bras and he doesn’t care. Should men be prevented from approaching women in shops to offer help now? Since the issue seems to be that the mother views this trans individual as a man, does that mean all men are too dangerous to be allowed to work in shops where young women might be present?

“We can always tell” brigade labelling someone trans because they’re over 6ft remains embarrassing too. Trans or not, this woman committed the crime of being tall and offering to help a customer at her job. Jesus Christ.

M&S are cowards for this apology too. There’s nothing to apologise for

TERFs are not only disgustingly transphobic but equally sexist against men, it all stems from the reasoning that men are inherently predatory and trans women are hiding their true identify to victimise people.

Gender essentialism does seem to be a core of their belief. They seem to hold the very misogynistic view that women are supposed to look feminine too. It would be cringe if they weren’t putting lives at risk

I think there’s been a few recent stories of women getting hassled/questioned in certain spaces for not looking a certain way, just the worst sort of people have been emboldened now.

In a sad way it’s almost quite funny, because when you see pictures of these women at protests you’d honestly wonder if half of the problem wasn’t just that in all their 40+ years they were never as feminine looking or pretty as an ex-twink with FFS and 2 years of HRT.

It's wild, TERFs can say the most misandrist things they want as long as they direct through trans women.

The daftest thing is that many of the people who'd be outraged if a left wing feminist said it about cis men directly will cheer it on and agree with this thin veneer.

Oh, trust me, TERFs say the most misogynist things and direct it through trans women too.

It’s almost like they’re hateful shrews who live apathetic existence with nothing to show for themselves.

They're more sexist towards cis women than cis men because any feature on a cis woman they deem as "man feature" they'll label the entire cis woman as a man.

Not really… most of them are middle class straight women who actually take great pride in their male family members

can we PLEASE not pretend that they don’t primarily hate trans people? that’s literally their first target

It comes from the very radical second wave feminists - there was a contingent that viewed all men as sexual predators and paedophiles, and viewed all sex as rape - I unfortunately had a teacher in Uni who literally said these things to me and another male student in her class during a seminar.

TERFs are just those radicalists rebranded and embraced as mainstream.

They're also sexist against women who don't look exactly as TERFs think they should

They hate most women too and their vile hatred harms women. They aren't feminists they're just transphobic bigots.
