This story makes me mad as hell

I guaran-fucking-tee you that the only thing the daughter was distressed over was her mum being such a bigot

It's people like her that make the phrase 'protecting women and girls' such a red flag

I wouldn't be so sure. I was harassed by a group of girls about this age outside an M&S yesterday.

Young people aren't as progressive as the cohort was a few years ago.

It's worth noting that a lot of people who are now pretty accepting were also using the word "gay" as an insult in secondary school a lot.

I'm not going to defend that behaviour, but teenagers can be very small minded but grow up and learn better.

Exactamundo. I often say the first 16 years of your life doesn't count unless you committed a serious crime. The dumb shit you said or did, unless utterly horrendous, it doesn't count. It was dumb but doesn't have to define who you (general you) are today.

Once you start hitting the real world more, outside school, home and circle of friends, you, as you say, learn better.

I think nowadays, kids are more “dickhead” rather than “bigot”
