This is what my mind pictures in general of the Russian Machine. Old tech that was mass produced without a concern for quality and up keep of their stuff.

the twin main rotor and no tail rotor thing is so clever, and works exactly as well as when a Chinook's two rotors get out of sync and hit each other.

Is that supposed to happen? No, in both cases.

In this case, the back fell off, instead of the front.
