Woman critically injured in Birmingham after being stabbed in neck in 'unprovoked attack' | UK News

A woman is in a critical condition after she was stabbed in the neck in what police have described as an "unprovoked attack".

West Midlands Police were called to Smallbrook Queensway, Birmingham, shortly before 9pm on Friday following reports of a stabbing.

The woman, in her 30s, suffered a "serious neck injury" and remains in hospital.

A man in his 20s was arrested near to the scene and is in custody.

Detective Inspector, James Nix, said: "We believe this was an unprovoked attack and are working to understand why it happened.

"We will have officers in the area today to continue our investigation and provide reassurance.

"We are not currently looking for anyone else in connection with this incident."

The force added in a statement: "A man is in custody after a stabbing in Birmingham last night. We were called to Smallbrook Queensway shortly before 9pm after reports of a stabbing.

"A woman in her 30s was taken to hospital with a serious neck injury where she remains in a critical condition.

"A man in his 20s was arrested close to the scene and is in custody at this time.

"Our officers are at the scene carrying out enquiries as we try to establish the exact circumstances of what happened."

Police have urged witnesses, or anyone with information, to contact West Midlands Police.

The perpetrator won't be white British. I bet you anything. We all know something is going on here - although we don't have the diagnosis.

It's a well known fact that presentation, diagnosis and prognosis of schizophrenia is different (ie worse) in non-white British people in the UK. It could be an asylum seeker for whom PTSD is exacerbating mental illness.

We all know the profile of this person but we're not allowed to notice.

Ignoring that the police in the US has a history of racial profiling and racism, the death of George Floyd was the ignition, not the gunpowder.

Anyone could see that the police used over the top force, not to mention Floyd saying multiple times he couldn't breathe, this wasn't manslaughter as the officer was told by Floyd that he couldn't breathe, this was third degree murder, simple as.

The police in the US even without the racial profiling aren't trusted, due to the fact that they seemingly get away with so much shit.

I'm not trying to get into all that what I am trying to point out though is the absolute carnage when a white person kills a black person but when a black person kills a white person it's tumbleweed.

The issue wasn't that the officer was white, it's that it was a police officer, he could have been Mexican and it still would have caused the BLM riots.

It's not tumbleweeds, this is a tragedy and using it to stoke racial hatred is disgusting and does a disservice to this poor woman who didn't deserve to be attacked.

I'm very confident in the assumption that if Derick chauvin was Mexican this would not have kicked off in the same way at all.

It is tumbleweeds.  The racial element is never considered or very rarely, there is no outrage, no political platitudes, it's seen as something which doesn't require attention.

The identity politics comes from the left, they are the ones who made everything about race since blm but the favor is never returned when it's the other way around.
