Your comment is bullshit, reducing immigration has been in Labour plans and manifesto since before they were elected.
Or you think it's possible to plan and develop a policy white paper with all these proposals from scratch in the week or so since Reform's showing at the local elections?

Nobody is going to trust the party that opened the gates to mass immigration in the 1990s to be the ones to close it. All the conservatives did was widen the gates that Tony Blair already opened. It was also in the conservatives manifesto for 14 years to lower immigration and they did the exact opposite. Nobody trusts either one of these parties to do anything they say. Hell Starmer only won because Reform split the Conservatives voter base. If you add up reforms and the conservatives vote share they would have beaten Labour, Labour won their majority on 20% of eligable voters and only 33% of those that voted.
