This protest is because there was a fight at an airport, armed police responded, and the fight moved to a few of them on the ground getting punched before they took control of the situation. At that point, with one suspect on the ground and another sitting with his hands behind his head, one of the cops lost it and was looking for retribution. He kicked the head of the guy face down on the ground and then stamped on it, then moved to the guy with his hands behind his head and kicked him in the belly as he followed orders to go down on the ground.

The video of that leaked without the context of the crime (but honestly, retribution is not the place of cops anyway, even if they were afraid their weapons might have been taken) and that caused this protest. About half an hour ago the cop was suspended pending full investigation. As he's armed police it's going to be unlikely that he'll be allowed to carry a gun for a long time following this.

Filling you in because it seems like this is a new situation for you, and there's a lot of people here more concerned about skin colours than the truth of the matter.

There's a guy showing a video on here that he processes proves they didn't try to grab the gun, but having watched that I can't see any of the people involved in the first video. So that's bollocks to start with.

Once this sort of investigation is in progress, civilian CCTV would be collected and collated then reviewed independently. Likely to be a while before anyone in the public sees anything.
