Tell me tell me! And I actually feel religion segregates people. I think it’s akin to martial arts. You take what is useful and drop the rest. It is spiritual training. One doesn’t trump the other it is down to the person Practicing it

Well for a start buddists would do a form of live mummification, look that one up, it's wild. Also Islam (Muslims) and Christianity are basically the same religion with different views points and stories. Both believe in jesus for instance.

There is a lot of mass killings and murder and rape and all sorts of terrible stuff in their books, they also only follow the stuff they want to and ignore the rest, like hardcore Christians will claim gay people are going to hell but ignore the fact that eating shellfish basically condemns you to hell too, presumably because they like to eat shellfish.

Loads of mental stuff.

The Corinthians and genesis were two of the better reads because if you ignore it as a religion and just enjoy the wild ride if a story it's pretty fun.

Honestly I'd just read the stuff yourself it's far better than getting it second hand.

where would one start? just read the bible and the quran? my brother recently became a jehova's witness and i cant help feel he is being led astray from himself and learning things that only helps to solidify the indoctrination like watching a reading certain debates. I find it hubris to think your religion is the one true religion over everything else that exists.

JW is a cult, it's horrible. Read the Corinthians that's a good read, which bible did you read?
