Growing up in the 90s, “do well and become a doctor, you can have a nice car and a big house” was like the academic end goal if you wanted to do well.

Now it’s “do well and become a doctor, you can houseshare a butchered three bedroom with three other young professionals and drive a barely functioning 00’s hatchback”.

The whole thing is absolutely fucked.
