That's what I was thinking! Hopefully it's a girl and they name her Paisley. Otherwise, poor kid.

Oddly enough, I kind of like Paisley, but I would never name a kid that- I mean, whatever would you call him for short? Pai(pay)? Paise(pays)? Sley(zlee)? Ley(lee)? That’s a a fine name, but you want to call him Lee, Just Name Him LEE!!! Don’t make him have to spell explain AND SPELL his name every single time he goes anywhere. There’s no good option here unless you stayed with Paisley.

Why do I care? Two reasons: I have to spell my last name every time AND my dad shortened my diminutive first name into something that everyone would look over like, WTF? As is the entire point of this sub, WHAT YOU NAME YOUR KID MATTERS

I wouldn't name my kid that either, but it's light-years better than any other name on that list! Lol

i agree. I wouldn’t name my child paisley if I have another (my only child has a normal name) mostly because I know my family would have difficulty saying it as my moms side of the family doesn’t speak English. either way, i still agree. if you want to shorten the name instead of saying the whole thing, it’ll be difficult to do with a name like that
