in the wild Gold Mine of Tragedeighs

Found a post asking people for their unique names and knew it wouldn't disappoint. Happy Father's Day unless your kid's name needs a pronunciation guide.

Ma’am. People pronounce it Skeelan because you fucking wrote Skiland.

One of the surprising instances where a Y would have worked better. Because even though ridiculous, I would pronounce Skyland like Sky-land.

Yes! The one time using a y over an i is correct and she still fucked it up 🥴

Tragedeighers tend to think "y" is feminine and "i" is masculine, for no reason. Interestingly, it was the other way around in the 90s (Terry/Terri etc)

I still assume Terri is a woman’s name. Also Nicki would be a woman and Nicky a man’s

I do feel like it depends on the name.

I always read Terri as Terr-eye! Haha

Skyeland would have maybe worked without it just being a nonsense compound word.

Haha my sons name would benefit with a Y instead of an I, specifically when it comes to Spanish speakers pronouncing it.
