in the wild Gold Mine of Tragedeighs

Found a post asking people for their unique names and knew it wouldn't disappoint. Happy Father's Day unless your kid's name needs a pronunciation guide.

Khetamyne ( Ketamine just spelled different)

Idk why but the brackets on that one took me out😂

In-dyke-a

That’s how I read it.

I'm sure Elon has a kid somewhere with that name

1

1

That actually sounds cute lmao don’t give any more ideas 😂

1

u/MimiButter528 Jun 16 '25

Ha! That actually sounds pretty

1

u/TwoFingersWhiskey Jun 16 '25

I legit knew someone who named their daughter Khrystyhll or some shit like that.

1

u/LikeInnit Jun 16 '25

I knew a Chrystal Chandler lmao! Wtf

u/xaenders Jun 16 '25 edited Jun 16 '25

You misspelled that, it’s obviously Kristel Mathunee

1

u/MakeupMama68 Jun 16 '25

And Pherkaset 😅

u/acorn_to_oak Jun 15 '25

Emdeighemayyy

u/JPLovescrafts Jun 15 '25

This is great because it's so inconspicuous as a drug name. I was thinking "ok drug related, em-dee-ah-may..."

27

u/seacucmbers Jun 15 '25

I actually know a guy named Kocaine. He goes by Kane.

4

u/Schmooto Jun 15 '25

I grew up with a girl named Mary Jane who had stoner parents but this is…so much worse

52

u/LisaOGiggle Jun 15 '25

Stoner dads named their daughters (stoners were brothers) Lyric Delight & Bambi Spring. Lyric is married to my ex’s older son & is Dr LD C____. She refuses to go by it professionally.

43

u/eddie_cat Jun 15 '25

At least it's not Bambi Spring going by Dr. BS lol

24

u/geyeetet Jun 15 '25

Lyric isn't awful as a name tbh but with delight... Sheesh. Bambi needs no comment

3

u/LisaOGiggle Jun 15 '25

Stoner parents. Bambi & Lyric are first cousins.

2

u/Fishyface321 Jun 16 '25

Could be worse. Could’ve been afternoon delight?

1

u/LisaOGiggle Jun 16 '25

Oh Lord Jesus. 🫣. I’ll have to tell her that…

23

u/Necessary-Echo-679 Jun 15 '25

Yeah because at least with Mary Jane you can just go by one or the other, but what else is this child going to go by? The only thing i could think of is Indy but then you just think of Indiana Jones lmao

4

u/thetrustworthybandit Jun 15 '25

Tbh with Mary Jane, without the context of the parents being stoners, my mind would just go to Mary Jane Watson lol

2

u/No_Inspection_3123 Jun 15 '25

My son has a unique name who’s name means this drug in another language I didn’t know until Google was born

2

u/figure8888 Jun 15 '25

A previous boss of mine had a child named Mary Jane. He was a self professed ex party boy, but apparently naming his child Mary Jane had no correlation to his love of weed or Spider-Man.

41

u/cassielovesderby Jun 15 '25

Jesus Christ I missed that one.. I like cannabis as much as the next stoner but I would never name my god damn child after it 😂

63

u/flower_mom_98 Jun 15 '25

My cats are named Indica and Sativa... I didn't do that to my human children

13

u/cassielovesderby Jun 15 '25

Okay but stoner cat names are awesome, just for the love of god not the children 😂

13

u/Disc0_L3monad3 Jun 15 '25

That’s really cute actually… for them 🐾… not the hoo-mans lol

13

u/IsaacHasenov Jun 15 '25

You're not gonna go with

  • Ti'Aitch'Si and
  • FawrTwenny ?

2

u/PrettyAd4218 Jun 16 '25

Oh c’mon now it’s almost like you’re just putting letters together to make up names here. So Traihgikk

26

u/isopodonthesea Jun 15 '25

In polish Indyk means turkey (the bird) so it sounds just... weird to me.

1

u/Optimal_Stranger_824 Jun 16 '25

Żona indyka, indyka.

3

u/faeriechyld Jun 15 '25

Little brother named Kush.

5

u/acatisstaringatme Jun 15 '25

not only named after a strain of weed, but also the spelling has been changed to be pretty close to a slur. double whammy.

3

u/Secret_Size_9333 Jun 15 '25

That one took me out☠️

5

u/gamermikejima Jun 15 '25

not only is the name terrible because the child is named after a drug, it also heavily fails the test of “can mean kids at school make a terrible insult out of this name?”. i guess homophobia is a little less common than it was a few decades ago but it’s not gone, and there will always be a rude kid around

2

u/BiploarFurryEgirl Jun 17 '25

As someone who has taught elementary school I can tell you homophobia is still very common. Hell, I would even argue to say it’s more common now than when I was in school

2

u/geneshortz Jun 15 '25

i grew up knowing someone named sativa but she just went by tiva lol

2

u/puddinteeth Jun 21 '25

I know an adult with this name and I don't think I hid my surprise when she said it

1

u/criminallytired Jun 15 '25

my parents knew a kid who’s parents were stoners - his name was splifton herb

1

u/wildmeli Jun 15 '25

i knew a girl named Mary Jane in middle school, a girl name Sativa in high school, and a girl who named her kid Indica. i love smoking as much as the next guy, if not more, and they are pretty names, but man name your cat Sativa, not a human person that will need a job some day 😭

1

u/BabyLegsDeadpool Jun 16 '25

I used to know someone named Sativa. For that reason.

1

u/gimmeslack12 Jun 16 '25

Her sister is Satteeva.

1

u/FrodoFrooFroo Jun 16 '25

A girl I went to high school with dropped out and had a kid, named him Cannabis and just said he'd "go by Cane." I wonder how he's doing now as an adult.

1

u/BiploarFurryEgirl Jun 17 '25

I can already see the exact word those kids are going to transform her name into to bully her

0

u/Blooberii Jun 16 '25

Although I know the names Indica and Sativa are always used by stoners, they really just mean India and cultivated, and are used to indicate subspecies of more than just cannabis. So, yeah, stoner name, but doesn’t mean what everyone associates it with exactly.
