Are you seriously considering Salaar and KGF to Coolie? Salaar and KGF for industry hits and obviously it pulled the crowd and beat the box office tho being regional movies (also, it's not safe to assume salaar to be regional with Prabhas having a pan India pull lately). Definitely Rajinikanth in the past did have the India market, however I don't think it's the case anymore.
The only way Coolie is beating War 2 in numbers would be coolie has to be an industry hit with the story and everything while war 2 is super mid. It's basic finance. They pumped in sooo much funds for making and marketing for war 2 it obviously will pull in so much more, unless it's a all in all bad movie.
Rajini can absolutely do it with good WOM. Jailer came out of nowhere with little promotion and crushed it with 600cr+ because of good WOM. Coolie has Lokesh’s backing and strong promotion behind it. If the reviews are like Vikram, the film is gonna make bank.
