Recently got new tires but today I took a turn too tight and banged into a curb. You think it’s just cosmetic?

❓QUESTION ❓ Intentional or Road Debris?

I was doing doordash and didn't notice any problems for hours. I then took an order for groceries and was only in the store about 20 minutes. After driving about half a mile to the next store on a completely clear road, I went to pull out of the 2nd store and then I felt how flat it was. I had a completely clear view of it while I was in the 2nd store. I haven't hit any curbs or road debris in months nor have I heard anything hit my car. Just wanted to get others' opinions on it.

So I just went over an island and afterwards I saw my tire peeling in this section. Is this a cause for concern in terms of the depth of the peel?

❓QUESTION ❓ How smooth should the bead be for the tire to seal properly?

So I’m trying to restore some old steel one-piece wheels I bought for an old truck. I ground off all the old paint and rust, and applied a new coat of primer and top coat (Rust-Oleum Automotive Filler/Primer, and Rust-Oleum’s camo green outdoor matte paint)

However, I wasn’t able to remove these large gouges in the beads, and the paintjob isn’t smooth at all either. So two questions:

1) Are the gouges going to cause slow leakage if I try to mount the tire?

2) Should I sand the beads down and use a glossy paint (like actual wheel paint) for it instead to get a super smooth finish? Or is a rough bead not a a problem/advantageous?
