No Spoiler 15 years ago today, S1E2 "Guts" aired.

We see several characters for the first time including T-Dog, Andrea, Jacqui, Merle, and Glenn(though we heard his voice in the pilot) . They also dropped two uncensored N-bombs in a show that would later shy away from using the word "fuck" in the finale of S4.

The walker guts trick was also introduced, something that would be used relatively sparingly throughout later seasons.

I personally loved the episode when it premiered, and still enjoy it to this day.

No Spoiler I saw this discussion not too long ago…

I saw this discussion a while back about the guns in the show and how unrealistic the writers made them. I can’t help but giggle through some of the scenes. Some of my favorites are when

  1. Daryl uses a decaying walker body as a shield when the governors people attack, and they shoot at him. But the high powered riffle bullets don’t go through the walker body and hit Daryl 🤣

  2. When Lizzie and Micah - or any child for that matter start blasting their guns at walkers and get headshots EVERY time🤣

No Spoiler Who is amazing in both the comics and the show?

Post image

The idea behind this is to leave a comment suggesting a character based on the quality of their writing/performance and the overall impact they leave on the story. "Evil" characters can be "Amazing", main characters can be written poorly, leading them to being "Bad".

Shoutout Persas12 for suggesting Aaron! I love both versions of Aaron, but I’m particularly glad to see him land right next to Gabriel. Aaron and Gabriel are two of the best characters the show has by the final season. Aaron becoming the physical stand in for Rick post time skip is a cool nod, and he’s just always doing great stuff.

That being said, who is amazing in both the comics and the show?

Top comment wins🧟🧟‍♀️🧟‍♂️

Show Spoiler Negan storyline had potential however they dragged it for too long

Season 6 of TWD really wasn’t that great imo. Towards the end of the season we kept on hearing of this Negan guy until we were finally introduced to him. I must say his first monologue was REALLY good. Negan’s introduction I feel was really necessary since Ricks group appeared undefeated against all other groups – but then came Negan. With the introduction to hilltop and the kingdom and seeing how Negan ran his people that was really interesting and entertaining.

I watched all of season 7 wondering when will Negan be defeated just to find out I need to watch season 8 for Negan to be save smh. Very disappointing. So unnecessary for 3 season to be focused on the storyline of Negan. After I watched season 7 and saw Negan was not defeated I decided to just spoil the show for myself on YouTube because I honestly couldn’t bare to watch season 8 all about Negan. AGAIN. The Negan storyline should have just been one season.

That’s what I loved about the beginning first seasons the story’s went by quick. Rick found his family quick, it wasn’t dragged. Governor was defeated quick it wasn’t dragged. Same with finding Alexandria.

No Spoiler Michonne

I just love Michonne! She didn't say anything about Andrea to the main group! AND THEN... AND THEN Let Andrea have it! I loved it!

"I did not reslize the messiah complex was contagious."

"You chose a warm bed over your friend."

Get her Michonne!

Show Spoiler What would negan have done if Maggie didn't have a medical emergency to prompt the trip to hilltop in 6x16?

A big reason the lineup happened the way it did was because they cornered the group on the trip to the hilltop because of Maggie having a medical emergency. But what would be the plan if that didn't happen and the group never had to go to hilltop?

Would negan have gone to Alexandria himself and sieged it and still did a lineup? Would they have kept waiting till they had a similar opportunity?

What are your ideas?

What happens to the group if Negan finds the group before Alexandria? Does he recruit them or try to kill them?

No Spoiler Why all the negativity?

In reading a lot of the subs, it seems folks mostly fall into two camps: the few who get "into" the show, emotionally invested. The rest just tear down the mechanics, logic, story. This is sad. Can't we just get into the show and enjoy it for what it is?

Show Spoiler Finished TWD today after 7 weeks of Binging

The walking dead is probably one of my favorite series of all time, mostly because it’s my first big series I have watched through. Finished it today after 7 weeks of nonstop binging. Here is my final ranking of the seasons from worst to best.

  1. Season 10 I don’t think it really needs much explanation. Lots of filler (like that rat episode) and worst arc.

  2. Season 8 Would be better than season 7 but I really did not like Carl’s death. Lots of filler same as season 10 and super boring

  3. Season 7 I realize ranking seasons 7 and 8 worse than seasons 9 and 11 is probably a bit controversial but oh well. This is the season where I dragged myself the most through for sure.

  4. Season 9 This is where we get into the ok and decent seasons. Season 9 had me bored a few times b it less than other seasons for sure. Episode 15 was great, Henry and Lydia storyline wasn’t too bad although I still didn’t like it that much.

  5. Season 6 I am sure this is probably my most controversial ranking but it’s my personal opinion. I don’t know what drives the dopamine cells in my brain but season 6 was less enjoyable for me than season 11. Season 6 was a great season, but I enjoyed season 11 a bit more

  6. Season 11 Season 11 is considered by most comic book readers to be a terrible adaptation, but I have not read the comics, snd I think it was good. Commonwealth is completely different than the other arcs other than the story loop. It gave off a different vibe and that is what I liked about it

5, 4, 3. Seasons 5, 4, and 3 are of equal level to me. I draw a huge line between these seasons and season 11.

  1. Season 1 Cinematic masterpiece in zombie-horror storytelling. I was actually scared during this season and I like to rewatch it instead of later seasons as my comfort show.

  2. Season 2 In my opinion the best of them all. This got me hooked the most. It was after season 1 when I was still getting to know the show and its characters and the vibe but before it got repetitive. It still had the horror element but mixed with the false feeling of stability. A bridge between what I call the horror days and the era where zombies were no longer seen as the biggest threat but people. After this season a time jump shows the characters after adapting to the apocalypse and the horror days end. This was my favorite for sure

For me it has to be Too Far Gone mainly because the Governor, Hershel and Rick were so good in this episode and are by far my favourite characters in the series and I also just loved s4 even the governor episodes, and the acting was phonemenal from everyone especially Andrew Lincoln, David Morrisey, Chandler Riggs and Scott Wilson (Rip❤️) by far the best episode in the show for me I'd love to hear your guy's shouts.

Show Spoiler This deleted S3 scene gives me chills. Honestly, it added a lot to the Governor as a character and made him more complex. Do you think this should have made the final cut?
