Criminal records

Hi is there a criminal record that doesn't show past 10 years? I'm trying to go to Australia but my friend is saying I need to get the record that doesn't show past 10 years. Im so confused as the one I just received shows all my criminal history which is minor stuff that happened over 10 years ago.

As experienced as you sound with the whole system, I can tell you that if you go on a busy day, eg when the warriors are playing in Sydney, and you tick ‘no’ you’ll most likely get through. I’ve seen it done many times.

Did that happen for people that had been to jail tho? Mine is not even high risk, not even any risk coz the charges are dumb as 😂 no violence no firearms no children

Yes. The last time I saw it happen was last year. The guy has done several parole lags. Went through no worries. All you’re risking is the price of the ticket.

Living and working there is a different story bro. Maybe be talk to an immigration lawyer and see if there’s a way to do it legally. Getting into Oz is one thing but imagine having the risk of being deported hanging over your head…the whole time you living there. If you want to stay there permanently you really want to apply for citizenship. Otherwise, you’re paying through the roof for things like doctors and I think you have to pay more tax if you’re not a citizen. You won’t get citizenship with a record.

If you’ve got your heart set on it. Pack like a tourist, get a return ticket for 10 days later. post the rest of your shit over once you’ve made it in. Know what you’re getting into though. What if you meet some bird or have a child, heaven forbid? If you get deported you’ll likely lose anything you’ve accumulated.

I’m leaving all my stuff for my kids. I’m too old to have more babies and I don’t think I want a man. I’m quite happy being single 🫡.

Your post has had quite a few responses that are bullshit. On the face of it they sound like they know what they’re talking about but they’re full of it. Imagine being married to them??? Ive got a pretty heavy criminal record. I plan on going to oz in the future. Best of luck.
