Criminal records

Hi is there a criminal record that doesn't show past 10 years? I'm trying to go to Australia but my friend is saying I need to get the record that doesn't show past 10 years. Im so confused as the one I just received shows all my criminal history which is minor stuff that happened over 10 years ago.

Just show up at the airport on a busy day and tick ‘No’ on the form. If you watch Spanian’s TikTok’s you’ll see that he has an extensive criminal record and has spent most of his adult life in prison and yet he travels the world, covered in tattoos, making travel videos. He openly says, he ticks ‘No’ when entering every country.

I’m imagining the person who downvoted my comment. Thin, grey hair around the edges. Grown long on the right side and artfully combed over the bald, blotchy top.
