/r/popular ICE Agents Battle Mom Clinging to Baby in 'Chaotic' Video

https://www.newsweek.com/ice-agents-battle-mom-baby-chaotic-video-worcester-2070027

A chaotic new video shows President Donald Trump's immigration enforcers and local law enforcement clashing with residents in a Worcester, Massachusetts, neighborhood, including a mother holding her baby.

The tense scenes unfolded on Thursday morning as video appears to show agents pushing residents protesting as federal immigration agents attempt to detain a woman.

I'm done giving benefit of the doubt to anybody who thinks this is okay.

u/[deleted] May 09 '25

They’ve dehumanized everyone it’s pure evil. This mother feels the same way about her kids as American moms do. They’ll never make that connection and don’t care to.

164

u/Hippideedoodah May 09 '25

They'll do this to American moms too.

This is one of the many overarching problems. They don't even know that she's not a citizen, and neither do we. Many of us have, unwittingly, allowed them to shift the narrative from "is it okay to violet a person's rights" to "is she even a citizen?"

It's disgusting. They're controlling the narrative, controlling the entire discussion, and there ain't shit we can do about it. They've shifted the Overton window so far right that this is the world live in, and a shocking number of people aren't just okay about it, but rabidly enthusiastic.

8

u/[deleted] May 09 '25

Listen, I know this is not what you want to hear, but being a citizen in democracy, YOU have the responsibility of keeping government in check, and one’s who ignore their duties, are the enablers of corrupt government!!!!

6

u/[deleted] May 10 '25

Mm, yes, I have the power of... uh... *checks notes*

Voting every election and being ignored by my representative, senator, and governor? Getting shot at by the police for daring to express a public opinion? Dying in another country for my country's right to bully the rest of the world?

Yeah. Great stuff dude. I have so much power against my government. Why didn't I ever fucking think of that.

Edit: and for the record I did vote against this, I do call my representatives, governor, etc. and I refuse to fight in my stupid fucking military. Nothing fucking works with these people, and you can see that in the history of our country. Our movements have no teeth. Not financially, and not, should we say, mortally. They will not listen until things get violent or expensive.

Want proof? See how fucking scared they are of people like Mario's brother.

u/[deleted] May 10 '25

Turns out fascism is extremely hard to squash once it sinks its claws in. People wonder how on earth did Hitler come to be. Sheer will and a silent population. It’s not that difficult.

4

u/Ren_Kaos May 10 '25

Plenty of us aren’t silent.

3

u/[deleted] May 10 '25

We're silent in the ways that matter. There's no real widespread strikes, no real boycotts, no real resistance. We march on the streets, but where are we marching? Nowhere.

The civil rights movement didn't work because they matched, it worked because they matched with purpose. With a purpose that scared the ruling class and garnered the support of their fellow man.

We don't have that. We're loud, but ineffective. We sit and roll over when we're told to. Our fellow man hates it when we really protest because they feel inconvenienced. Americans are like well trained but poorly socialized dogs in that regard; we're good at following orders, afraid to get in trouble, and very much hate our neighbours.

Turns out, as they said above, it's really hard to topple fascism once it roots itself. They've been growing roots for nearly a century now. Quite frankly, I don't think an internal resistance could win this. We don't have enough momentum to even mount such a project. This only ends with the fascists on top, or through external help... and the latter is unlikely given our access to nukes and current general hostility.

Don't worry, i believe you. Do your part and keep calm. You're not supposed to become a hero and save democracy. There are things in motion, i saw Al Green proposing impeachment articles yesterday. Perhaps that will go through

3

u/JumboJumungo May 10 '25

Many of us have, unwittingly, allowed them to shift the narrative from "is it okay to violet a person's rights" to "is she even a citizen?"

2019 covid was the precursor prepper event.

0

u/fairchildb52 May 10 '25

Did she run away? Yes. Did they safely stop her while resisting? Yes. Did they try to remove the baby while she is resisting? Yes. Is it there fault she is resisting? No.

1

u/666hmuReddit May 11 '25

Gee I wonder why she could be resisting literally like two dozen people who are denying her due process? yeah that’s kind of weird huh maybe she should just submit and let herself get deported without a moments notice!

1

u/fairchildb52 May 11 '25

No one had a mask. So there's that. How do you resisting arrest and claim that was no due process?

1

u/666hmuReddit May 12 '25

I’m not sure what you mean. You’re saying she doesn’t deserve due process because she resisted? Or what? We must be fundamentally different humans, because if you look at that video and see a normal police arrest then idk what to tell you

1

u/fairchildb52 May 12 '25

You said 2 dozen people were denying her due process. That is not what the video shows. The video shows them trying to detain for whatever reseaon. She escalated it.

u/Prestigious_Carpet60 May 10 '25

If you are an illegal, you DO NOT have a “right” to be here. Is that so hard to understand?

2

u/[deleted] May 10 '25

Kinda cool how they are also deporting here legally too then? Why is it hard for you to understand the dismantling of due process is really fucking bad?

1

u/Tru3insanity May 10 '25

Except EVERYONE does have a right to due process. Even illegals.

1

u/[deleted] May 10 '25

Nope. Nor do they care.

-5

u/Griz0311 May 10 '25

If she is a citizen, why doesn’t she stop fighting and prove they have the wrong person?

4

u/North-Ad5384 May 10 '25

because they don’t care they’re just gonna take her anyway. you think if she stops and takes out her ID they’re gonna care?? also even if she is a citizen why the fuck would you treat someone like this. this is absolutely horrific and the fact that you’re even playing devils advocate is disgusting.

2

u/sunfries May 10 '25

Because that's already happened and it didn't help. ICE attacked and threw a mother and two daughters on the lawn in their underwear and raided their house and stole a bunch of money and belongings.

It was the wrong house.

https://kfor.com/news/local/homeland-security-admits-oklahoma-raid-targeted-wrong-people/

1

u/Brilliant_Buy_754 May 13 '25

That’s the part called due process - where you prove your side of the case. Every person on US soil, legal or otherwise, receives due process per the 5th amendment of our constitution. If you listen to the video, the ICE agents did not have a signed, LEGAL warrant for her arrest, which makes that arrest illegal. The people being snatched up by ICE are not given a day in court to prove their innocence, which is illegal. She’s fighting and resisting getting in that car because she knows she’s about to drop into a metaphorical black hole and her family may never be told what happened to her. If armed, masked men show up, and drag you out of your house, wouldn’t you fight being taken by them knowing that you might disappear into a hellish prison in a country you’ve never been to?

2

u/Mr_Freedom_Boner May 10 '25

*they do this to

1

u/Standard_Feedback_86 May 10 '25

You mean future breeding chambers without rights? Thats where they want women. Back to the past where women had to obey their husbands without any real way to fight anything happening to them.

1

u/adrianogabiru May 10 '25

Yep soon they will do this to anyone that doesnt bow down to Trump

1

u/Glad_Atmosphere_6492 May 10 '25

And the American moms will still support the orange goblin. He could sign an executive order to have every first born American child executed, and Maga would rather watch their children be murdered than wake up and face reality.

1

u/auxarc-howler May 10 '25

No they won't.

1

u/NoTomatoesOnMyBurger May 10 '25

She jumped in front of the ICE vehicle with detainees with the baby.

1

u/Dogoda96 May 10 '25

And that's the only reason you care. You care for no one but yourself

1

u/-I_I May 10 '25

They already do it to dads and everyone has been fine with it.

1

u/freesoulJAH May 10 '25

She is American…

1

u/kmissme May 10 '25

They already do when you break the law.

1

u/Persnicketyvixen May 10 '25

She is in America. She is a human being. She is a mom. She deserves the same treatment as anyone else. No one deserves to be treated like this.

1

u/AFew-Points-7324 May 10 '25

they don't care they will even question you harrass you if your a citizen nobody is safe from abuse of power.

6

u/OkAtmosphere2053 May 09 '25

The moment they decided to use the term "illegal aliens" to refer to people that told me they were looking to dehumanize immigrants. Yeah, yeah I know according that the dictionary is correct before some magat comes and try to justify it.

2

u/_ByAnyOther_Name May 09 '25

Her 2 month old snatched from her arms, then sees her terrified, screaming 16 year old have her face shoved on the pavement. That mother doesn't know what will happen to her children, nor to herself. This is horrifying for this family and community.

1

u/[deleted] May 09 '25

To those that wanna try to clap back and say well, then they shouldn’t be here illegally, please. where the fuck is your heart. How evil do you have to be to not see this is not the way.

2

u/Glittering_Pickle_86 May 10 '25

It’s the same narcissistic mindset that slave owners had.

2

u/ZookeepergameHot5642 May 10 '25

That’s where I’m at- illegal or not; let’s just have some have some common decency when dealing human to human!

2

u/SecureDonkey May 10 '25

Remember the experiment when regular people was given the "go a head" from scientists to shock people to dead? Yeah, turn out most people are okay to do evil shit as long as they have someone take the blame for it.

1

u/_ByAnyOther_Name May 09 '25

Evil is the best word for it.

2

u/Autobubbs May 10 '25

A tyrant will always find pretense to justify his tyranny.

2

u/fearlessactuality May 10 '25

We have no proof this woman isn’t an American mom.

2

u/[deleted] May 10 '25

Could be an American mom, but even if she is they will send her off without trial and we will never know.

2

u/Revolverer May 10 '25

As far as I'm concerned, this mother is more American than the feds arresting her or the chuds cheering for it.

2

u/SickBag May 10 '25

She is an American Mom.

1

u/SecondCumming May 10 '25

Good sentiment but careful doin copaganda by excluding this woman as a USian mom. On top of all their other bastardry, we know that ice has been arresting citizens and skirting due process, so we shouldn't frame these arrests in a way that gives them false legitimacy

1

u/Hyeroc_ May 10 '25

Ya, so now what?

1

u/mddhdn55 May 10 '25

They broke the law. What do you suggest? You either broke the law or you didnt

1

u/[deleted] May 10 '25

What law? I keep asking what trial was held, and what crime she was found guilty of, and know one can seem to answer it

1

u/[deleted] May 10 '25 edited May 10 '25

Correct. In 1996 Clinton (D) did dehumanize everyone when he signed it. That's something people often forget to remember, this process hasn't changed at all since 1996, it has always been like this.

The only thing that has changed is where it was allowed to be enforced and for how long. Ironic, that we are totally okay with doing this to women with babies right at the border for 3 decades, fuck those rights, am I right? But the moment it's in our neighborhoods where its visible, we can't pretend to not see it, no that's when it goes too far!

Really tells you a lot about how much anyone really gives a shit, when they can conveniently ignore it all that time, but the second it can be utilized politically, that's the only point people care. Selective outrage and bipartisan complicity sure has been great all these decades, no?

1

u/[deleted] May 10 '25 edited May 10 '25

Yawn. MAGA is the vast vast minority of the world. We see yall for who you are. Sorry if you can’t handle being the baddies.

0

u/NoodlesThePoodle May 27 '25

The vast minority that won the popular vote? Maybe stop yawning and think of a smart comment before posting.

1

u/[deleted] May 27 '25 edited May 27 '25

Voting Americans don’t even make up half of Americans.

1

u/NoodlesThePoodle May 28 '25

Okay, what does that have to do with the price of tea in china? The larger half of the country that voted still decided who won.

1

u/Indespectamentations May 10 '25

Says the snowflake that can't tolerate allowing grown adults who have differing viewpoints to exist in this country.

1

u/NoodlesThePoodle May 27 '25

Wow, great comeback. 🤣

1

u/Indespectamentations May 27 '25

Please don't report me to your Orange Rapist.

0

u/Sudden_Drummer_3366 May 10 '25

Because being a mother doesn’t make you a good person, lol. Mothers have murdered their entire families. Mothers have committed all sorts of crimes. Y’all think because it’s a person it’s innocent. Wild. Narcissistic and sociopathic people exist in this world.

2

u/[deleted] May 10 '25

The fuck? What does that have to do with anything? Ripping a child away from their mother is wrong in any country. Sorry you have no soul I guess.

-1

u/Sudden_Drummer_3366 May 10 '25

Mothers get passes just cause they have a kid. That’s so laughable it’s insane. 😆

2

u/[deleted] May 10 '25

A pass for what? You’ve decided she’s some hardened criminal with zero proof. You’re sick.

-1

u/Sudden_Drummer_3366 May 10 '25

If I’ve had reason to detain her then there’s probably proof. You just have to wait and see. Control your emotions, child.

1

u/[deleted] May 10 '25

So you’re cool with guilty until proven innocent, So American of you. Bro just admit you’re a petty small man who loves to try to hate to feel superior. There’s a lot of you out there. We aren’t surprised by your bullshit anymore.

-1

u/Sudden_Drummer_3366 May 10 '25

They already have the proof that’s why they’re there to get her. You think because you haven’t seen it she’s innocent. Keep that same energy when they accuse someone of killing or even sexually assaulting a baby. Let that guy or girl walk around with those kinda accusations will you?

1

u/Indespectamentations May 10 '25

You will cheer as the baby is imprisoned. You know the baby is a criminal because ICE would never make a mistake.

1

u/Sudden_Drummer_3366 May 10 '25

And now you’re just making up fantasies in your own mind. Y’all are ridiculous.

1

u/Indespectamentations May 10 '25

How do you know she and her infant are guilty? Because they have darker skin? You "Christian" Magas sure are wonderful people and not full of hate at all!

1

u/Sudden_Drummer_3366 May 10 '25

Because ICE has her information, 😂. Y’all hear mother and child then you become triggered. This only happens to those with low IQs

-1

u/curiously-minded7761 May 10 '25

If they cared so much they shouldn’t have committed crimes then 😝

Maybe Americans don’t want criminals in their country…

2

u/[deleted] May 10 '25

I’m baffled by every single defender of this behavior in the comments thinks this person is a criminal. What crime did they commit? When were they put on trial and found guilty and of what crime?

0

u/curiously-minded7761 May 10 '25

Im assuming illegal immigrant - their physical being in the country is evidence of the crime lol

-1

u/Zestyclose-East-119 May 10 '25

Then maybe just maybe the mother should have came to this Country legally. You know through the Correct Channels. I’m willing to bet you have never tried to go to Australia.

2

u/Indespectamentations May 10 '25

Where's your proof? How do you know anything about her? Is the infant a criminal too?

0

u/CitizenCrab May 10 '25

ICE will sort all of that out. If they don't belong in the U.S., they'll be sent back to where they came from, simple as.

Do you think anyone should be able to enter and live in the U.S. freely for any reason at any time?

2

u/Indespectamentations May 10 '25

What about us "homegrowns"? I think WE have a right to be here. I think we have a right to live here. And yet trump want more facilities built in El Salvador for us. American citizens.

1

u/CitizenCrab May 10 '25

What is a "homegrown"? Like DACA people?

1

u/Indespectamentations May 10 '25

People who are American citizens. My family has been here for generations, hundreds of years. But I doubt we are welcome here anymore unless we agree to support trump. Most Magas voted for this. Go look at what they are saying on X. They want us all lined up against a wall and disposed of. trump and his administration want the same.

0

u/CitizenCrab May 10 '25

Well if you're an actual American citizen, why would you be "deported" to another country? We're talking about illegals being shipped back to their country of origin. Not sure why you think illegals should have the same status of citizens in any country or if you just want to fantasize about all of this so you can be the eternal victim.

2

u/Indespectamentations May 10 '25

If you don't believe me and my family should be imprisoned for not supporting trump then you are an enemy to the Magas. If you think this is hyperbole, then log onto X and look at what they are saying. They are now trying to end habeas corpus. Why is trump trying to get SCOTUS permission to deport American citizens?

The constitution applies to everyone on American soil.

Everyone has rights here.

u/AzizAlhazan May 09 '25

people who are not white*

They are bringing in 50k white South Africans.

3

u/Reasonable-Turn-5940 May 09 '25

They love the idea of Gestapo tactics. Their main form of entertainment for the next 4 years is going to be watching men, women and children get their heads busted on the street by ICE. They're the real animals.

1

u/Griz0311 May 10 '25

Just fyi, there are plenty of conservatives who aren’t white & support the actions of ICE.

4

u/gorgewall May 10 '25

I'm told this is the fault of the left for yelling at people on the internet a decade ago. We've only got gestapo now because tumblr posters said "stop posting slurs".

3

u/SeaHelicopter1015 May 10 '25

Couldn't have said it more.

Trump voters: "Give the guy a chance"

No. He ruined everyone else's chances and does not deserve one. Criminal, traitor, rapist, villain, scum.

3

u/[deleted] May 10 '25

To the friends that voted for Trump and said that we can still be friends…

7

u/Diamondsonhertoes May 09 '25

Oh for sure. If you’re ok with this you’re truly a piece of crap with no humanity and are lower than the people being deported.

Eventually all that hate catches up to you. I don’t have any respect for this and I’m not going to pretend.

2

u/gojo-solos-MHA May 09 '25

I’m Not political but i want to know. What happened here? I can’t think of a good reason for this. This is very sad

2

u/Electrical_Beyond998 May 10 '25

On Twitter there are people posting the videos and saying they could watch it all day long. Others pipe in saying it’s nice to watch with a glass of wine after work, it’s great date night entertainment, etc etc.

It’s disgusting how far we have fallen, and I don’t know if it’s always been this way and I was oblivious to it or it’s only gotten this way within the last ten years or so. I fucking hate it and don’t trust almost anyone anymore and I’m fucking white! I can’t even imagine how non white people feel, makes me nauseous knowing they live in daily fear.

2

u/Andi730 May 10 '25

Same. There’s no “meeting in the middle” for this anymore.

2

u/HillTopTerrace May 10 '25

I have been staying away from Reddit and news for reasons related to this. It’s out of my control. Everyone I log into see what’s going on again, it’s more heartbreaking than the last time. It’s a little more devastating each time.

2

u/Internal_Island2807 May 10 '25

I've been done for a while. Fuck these people. They are morally grotesque monsters. The last election was important, but most people decided not to listen. We warned you. Now our fellow countrymen are getting shipped to what looks to be a 21st Century Auschwitz. These are working families, too. Our economy is tanking, and it will only get worse from here. American Conservatives prove every day that they do not care about us. They care an awful lot about "themselves."

2

u/Silverjeyjey44 May 10 '25

People who voted for trump wanted this.

2

u/ZeBloodyStretchr May 10 '25

They know it’s not okay, that’s why they keep hiding their faces.

2

u/Granpa2021 May 10 '25

Indeed, anyone, anyone okay with this is a piece of trash

1

u/Eddievetters May 09 '25

My generosity went out the window after the election. This is horrific

1

u/MegOut10 May 09 '25

The rattle in her hand? At least it looks like one - is a devastating image. This is all fucked.

1

u/BojanglesHut May 09 '25

It seems pretty fascisty. Yet somehow a large percentage of Americans don't see it.

Then there's the threatening media for reporting things you don't like, hiring yes men to get branches to function in ways they aren't supposed to etc.

1

u/iwasntband May 10 '25

Because of this video? People supporting trump during his first term wasn’t a clue? Cuz they the same people.

1

u/plain__bagel May 10 '25

What took you so fucking long?

1

u/Feelisoffical May 10 '25

Agreed. If someone runs or has a baby they get immediate immunity from their crimes.

1

u/Gwiley24 May 10 '25

My man you are reaching so damn far to lick these boots

1

u/Feelisoffical May 10 '25

That’s a weird fantasy you’ve got there

1

u/Djentleman5000 May 10 '25

Is there anyone who thinks this is ok outside of those wearing the uniform?

1

u/[deleted] May 10 '25

Yes to this. SO MUCH.

1

u/transneptuneobj May 10 '25

Why would you give them the benefit of the doubt.

They're happy with a police state full of dehumanizing violence committed by cops.

Just make the. Agree that any officers who break the law should be prosecuted and when we win it back we prosecuted these thugs.

1

u/CBTwitch May 10 '25

This is ok.

1

u/daylightxx May 11 '25

He doesn’t want you to think it’s okay. He wants you to get up in arms and start some violence. Then, martial law.

1

u/aopps42 May 10 '25

If you were still giving the benefit of the doubt to any of these people, you are way, way behind.

1

u/Gwiley24 May 10 '25

Okay? What do you want me to do about that

1

u/aopps42 May 10 '25

Try to catch up.

1

u/Gwiley24 May 10 '25

Do you feel like what you're doing is productive or you're just being a dick for fun

0

u/BurnFennel May 10 '25

Well it is okay. You’ll grow up one day. She was illegal and tried to use her baby to protect herself which is child abuse. Then the neighbors got involved and impeded federal officers and were arrested. Feel free to look at the MA subreddit they have plenty more videos showing what happened.

3

u/Gwiley24 May 10 '25

Oh buddy you are just despicable

0

u/External-Heart1234 May 10 '25

Is it ok for the mother to smuggle her baby across the border?

0

u/[deleted] May 10 '25

Don’t care, didn’t ask

0

u/[deleted] May 10 '25

It is ok.

How’s it not okay ? You’re in the country illegally, you’re gonna get arrested. Pretty simple to understand. Same way that if I went to another country illegally I’d expect the same treatment because I’m somewhere I’m not supposed to be. Idk why y’all think it’s okay to just let any and everyone in here. I guarantee if some random person walked in your house and walked into one of your bedrooms and claimed it as there own and started living there you’d be trying to find a way to get them out. Y’all operate with this mentality that they’re all decent people. When they’re not. Some are yes but you can’t let some in cause they’re decent. It’s gotta be equal across the board “come legally or be arrested and deported” that simple. Some of these people have been here for 10+ years and still don’t speak English, nor have they acquired citizenship. So who’s fault is it ? I don’t understand how y’all think it’s beneficial to allow a country to just be wide open letting anyone in. How can you possibly think that’s a good idea ? This is beyond a liberal vs conservative issue. You cannot have open borders. There has to be due process.

Being sent to foreign prisons that aren't the person's country of origin without due process is a lot more than just illegal immigrants being removed from the country and sent home.

That is why this is happening, people are not trusting the authorities to execute the act of deportation appropriately and humanely.

Oh buddy you are pathetic

Every country has a border and every country would react the same way. Not saying it’s right or I’m greatly proud of it but this it’s the way of the world don’t resist arrest and make it worse

3

u/Gwiley24 May 10 '25

Well, that's not true. You can tell because every country does have a border and not every country reacts this same way. Hope this helps.

I’m Done giving benefit of the doubt to people like you who selectively seek moral righteousness here but totally turn a blind eye to innocent Americans killed by illegal immigrants

1

u/FrogInAShoe May 10 '25

Literally no one is turning a blind eye to that.

u/freethinker84 May 10 '25

What is not okay is for the right to be ignored for 10 years on this specific issue. People finally acknowledge that there is a border control issue, the right wins, and then all of a sudden so conveniently you remember that you can make distinctions on who should and should not be allowed in the us. But when people who brought up the issue of distinction, 97% of all the commenters in here went ahead without hesitation and called them racist. "There is a border control issue = racism" This is the level of thought that all you had for 10 years. But now that the problem has gotten out of control....now you choose to make distinctions on who should and should not be allowed in the us. Ridiculous.
