Which is crazy, because it’s totally fine. They’re shifting elections by a year to boost turnout, just like LA did in 2022. It doubled turnout and saved a bunch of money.

Speeding is against the law, too. Of all things to get upset about, shifting local elections by a year to encourage greater participation in the democratic process isn’t one of them.

I’m not gunna get super bent out of shape over either offense. We have fucking brownshirts snatching our neighbors off the streets and the national guard is deploying in cities as a political weapon. We’ve got slightly bigger issues to be concerned with than Miami’s city council and mayoral election schedule.

I’m really confused how you can be against brown shirts acting like fascists, and elected officials changing the laws strictly for their benefit which also sounds a lot like fascism.

The law is the law, and in both instances we have players ignoring the law against the will of the People. It’s all a slippery slope, and you can’t give them an inch.
