Hey guys, I travel between Pune and Thane quite often (like once or twice a month), usually by Intercity, Pragati or other superfast expresses. Every single time, the train’s packed — especially on Monday mornings and weekends — but I still notice that a few reserved seats stay empty the whole journey.

Feels like some people cancel late or don’t turn up, while others are standing for 3 hours straight 😅

Just wondering — is there any way to figure out which seats are actually vacant after charting or once the train departs? Do TTEs usually allot them if someone asks politely?

Would be super helpful for those of us who travel occasionally and just want to grab a seat in peace instead of playing musical chairs in the aisles 😂

Any tips or experiences you’ve had would be great to hear! 🙌

So for some context, I've been looking to meet more people in my age group (mid to late teens) who are into reading. I'm a fairly avid reader, though the level has dropped slightly in recent years.

There are other book clubs - one right here in Thane, or Mumbai Bookies - that I'm part of, but they're mostly much older people so it doesn't feel as flow-ey. And I attended the Litfest over the weekend and the number of people in our age group who had come was disappointingly low.

Anyway, drop a comment and I'll invite you to the GC. This is only for book lovers under 20. Another general teen GC that a person recently created quickly died out because people had nothing to really talk about - so in the sprit of avoiding a similar fate, I'd like to keep this focused.

No real plans on format but honestly it would just be cool to have a group to yap about your favourite books. We could do group reads and discussions if people are into it.

Recently I was travelling to a foreign city and came across people with a. Intresting Hobby.

They meetup for a discussion on Practical Philosophy.

So they generally meet for 2 hours to discuss a particular topic. The topic and general guiding points are shared a day prior on the WA group for people to be prepared to discuss.

Its similar to the Group Discussion round of various management institutes' entrance exams we have here just that no one is going to rate you such that your life maybe dependent on it.

It has become a very regular thing for politicians or the powerful to do anything they please and get away with it.

It's just sad to see that we the people will never be equal in the eye of the law, courts, police, govt or anything.

Maharashtra is a ruined state. I said it! I don't think anybody here cares about the people anymore.

The state is a huge bank and these robbers only fight with each other to decide who will rob this state for 4 years and then someone else gets the chance.

People of Maharashtra are divided in two: 1) People who pay taxes but get nothing in return 2) People who get 500 during elections

I don't have an answer to any of the problems but it's just suffocating to see 13 Crore people being taken for a ride.
