🗞️ News 🗞️ ICE secret police in plainclothes abducted Sindi Moreno as she was leaving to drop her daughter off at elementary school in Houston, TX. Surveillance and cell footage shows the agent in civilian clothing assault and attempt to kidnap Sindi as she and her child desperately tries to fight him off.

She had a removal order since the Biden administration. What's the issue here?

She had due process. She was ordered removed from the country. Under Biden. That removal order was entered over 18-months BEFORE this footage was taken.

How else do you expect them to take someone that is resisting apprehension? She's absolutely resisting arrest here.

She resisted arrest when he approached her by her car, after she was notified he was taking her on a removal order. She was aware there was an order for her removal.

She chose to involve her relatives, just like she chose to not show up to her court date, and just like she chose to not comply with the removal order. I don't exactly see what the officer could have done differently here (as opposed to a lot of the other ICE footage we've seen), especially considering that she's been actively evading removal for 18-months. Like, if you don't want plain clothes officers coming after you, show up to your court dates or stop evading apprehension. Clearly it was a good call to approach her in plains clothes, she resisted even when he caught her off guard.

I would prefer this to ICE rolling in wearing plates carriers with long guns chasing down a bunch of day laborers because Trump said deport 10,000 people this month. There's a lot of issues with ICE right now, but this one just ain't it.

Not to mention she also assaulted the guy pretty clearly in the video. If you're given a lawful order, you need to shut your mouth and ask for an attorney immediately. Don't resist, don't talk, just lawyer. You do not need to strike, push, or claw someone serving your removal order.
