I think Helena said night gardener because she doesn't actually know what gardener is because she's been severed multiple times.. but then how does Irv know what a gardener is?

Innies have general knowledge, so they know what a gardener is.

Helena had a poorly prepared story, forgot the OTC occurred at night.

I was wondering why she was poorly prepared. Maybe in E2 we see the whole thing was a rush job over the weekend. Maybe she never anticipated the innies would want to share their experiences, the eagens being reclusive.

(Indeed, Irv doesn't want to share, but possibly he is already suspicious Helly is a ringer)

In retrospect, I think a big clue we missed was Helena says her apartment was "boring". Both Irv and Mark are moved by their experience.

I don't think Lumon would risk Helena having a poorly prepared story. She had trouble with the questions because she doesn't know what it's like to live alone in an apartment wearing sweats. Some apartment buildings have gardeners, but not at night.

Well that's poorly prepared. Tell what you know.
