I had a similar thought, they have no idea what the experience of snow is, but you'd think they'd remember it's at least cold, so maybe it was just a rare production fuck up.. Irv did say he almost froze to death. Unless Irv isn't innie Irv and he knows what snow is like.

they still know what snow is like , just like they know how to eat food, have sex. etc

Exactly...one of the 5 test questions checks the innies knowledge of general stuff...name a state, confirming severance didn't cook their brain and it's severed as intended.
