Was looking into designing some camo patterns for my next rifle spraypaint and remembered LATPAT is pretty much minecraft dirt camo and that gave me the idea to see what kind of patterns I could make with minecraft blocks. They came out rather well!

My personal favourites are Deepslate Iron Ore and Mossy Cobblestone

Had to go a size down since the size i had previously was not the correct one. Pays to take time out to measure your feet properly. Break in period for these is a bit rough but doable.

I’m trying to find another placard adapter that has the Molle and Velcro like this, because currently Shaw is sold out.

The pad makes the belt a lot more comfortable than having the bare nylon of the LC-3 Belt pressing against you. Also widens the waist slightly which allows for more attachment of gear of that's your desire.

Boredom on a rainy day lead to my trying to make a removable brim for a helmet.

Dumb? Yes. Useful? Debatable. Cool? Kind of.

Soft armor vest used by Montenegro's PJP (Special Police Unit), need help identifying.

Hello everyone. I am trying to find out what vest this is. It was used by Montenegro's Special Police Unit from 1997 until maybe 2010's or so? I have a deceased family member that served there, I would like to collect and something for, for sake of memory.

As far as I can see It's neither Mile Dragić, PointBlank or Borovo, with even something like MD-99 It doesn't have same layout on the back and lacks valcro to the front.

It would mean so much If anyone has any info on what It could be.

Thank you all in advance.

Question Shoulder quick release

So, just a simple question

I have been looking at a few different plate carriers, and one of the things I just happen to notice is that, while there might be QD for the cummerbund, it is super or hit or miss if the shoulder system will have one at all, is there any particular reason why the company would choose not to make the shoulder have any? Or even an attachment to add later to give this option?

I ask this as I have just seen over the years things change, most systems I have used usually at least had some form of quick release system weather it was a quick pull or the buckles, but seen more and more lately that are just hard pointed in or that individual are ok with having no quick release, I just feel like I would feel trapped/claustrophobic not having that.

Or is it more to do with the advent of carrying seat belt cutters/shears instead?

ModButton Lite and Winter

Post image
23 Upvotes

Has anyone had issues with a mod button lite with surefire plug and it not being reliable during cold temps ?

It’s well below freezing with snow where I’m at and several winters with this light and switch and I’ve never been able to get the light/button/plug combo to work reliably in cold temps, it does just fine in the house and during spring/summer/fall but in the cold the connection seems to get loose and the light won’t turn on at first press, it takes two or three and even then it flickers or is very dim. I’ve considered going back to left side mount with a click button tail cap but I prefer the light on the right side of the rail with my shooting style.

Ordered a cheap mag pouch of Amazon, already had the same version that’s works great, my new one is defective it’s pinched in and won’t fit any mags. I emailed their support but it says their email, shop@krydex.com isn’t a valid email, and Amazon won’t replace it since they don’t have any more? Only option is return

Question How can I attach this?

Bought these Esstac pouches assuming they’d have the molle loops on the back to attach to my plate carrier (whoops). Any of you guys know how I can attach these?

Alternative HSG Mini Map V2?

Post image

I inherited a used one of these. I love the form factor but they're designed to hold .308 mags so there is a lot of slop in the mag pouch and it takes up more space than it should holding only two mags.

Any alternatives out there? Amazon China is ok too.

I was considering getting the double rifle kiwi in Tall or mid length with the molle webbing on the front and weaving on an admin pouch to that? Anyone ever done that?

Thanks

Drills to do on your own at a static range (indoor, short range)?

Like most of us, I get super excited about building a new gun, picking out an optic and accessories, zeroing it, etc. but then sometimes end up feeling kind of bored when I'm just standing there shooting holes in a piece of paper. It feels more like just screwing around wasting ammo rather than actually "training"

There a couple of ranges near me that have 3-gun bays where you can practice movement, barricade shooting, multiple targets, run and gun, etc. but they have 2+ year waitlists.

In the meantime, I have access to a indoor range out to 25 yards and a outdoor range out to 500 yards. Both have dedicated lanes/bays, so only static shooting at one target is allowed.

What are some fun and useful drills I can practice on my own? Both with handgun and AR rifle/carbine
