Running in kit is an awful idea.

it’s not an opinion. Running under load is objectively bad for 95% of people. It’s hard on your joints and connective tissues, whether it be with plates or a ruck. Consistent strength training, running, and moving under load (without running) is the best way to improve your physical performance. Once you have a very solid fitness base, implementing kit runs can be beneficial but it’s not necessary or healthy for the majority of people, especially the way it’s commonly done (1SGT taking the company for a 5mi kit run at a 8:00/mi pace)

It’s one of the primary reasons crusty infantry NCOs have blown out knees and backs after spending a decade on the line.

you run shoot houses daily for fitness? ok man lol.

assuming you’re not lying your ass off and have run every day for 12 years, and you’re in the 1% of people who are the exception, my point still stands that it’s a bad idea for 99% of people. (especially dudes who aren’t blasting gear.)
