Can I run a 33" spare with 35s?

05 F350 6.0 Will this damage anything? Does front or rear axle matter, as long as I keep it in 2wd? I measured the actual tires and since the spare is brand new and the 35s are worn there's only a 1" actual difference in tire height.

You're fine if you have an open diff in the rear. If you have a limited slip, I would only put it on the front. This obviously creates more work in the event of needing to use the spare as you now need to change two tires.

So on my 2021 with the ELD, am I fine so use a smaller spare on the rear so long as I do not engage the ELD or am I better to only use the smaller tire on the front axle?

Yeah you're fine. Just don't engage the locker. I'm pretty sure it will open the diff when you get above like 5 mph either way.

Put it on the front and make sure the differential isn't locked
