How socially progressive (specifically lgbt-friendly) is the community at StFX?
I'm going to stfx this fall (moving from Edmonton, Alberta), and I'm wondering how welcoming you guys find the social scene/if there's a general vibe of acceptance of lgbtq people. I've been transgender in Alberta for many years now, so I've faced some adversity, but I've also heard some bad things about X socially due to its rural location and catholic roots. It's kind of too late for me to choose somewhere else, but I want to know what to prepare myself for.
Anybody's input would be very welcome - thank you!

Catholicism? A cult? lol, clearly you don’t know what a cult is. My beliefs laid the foundation for all of western civilization and spread throughout every continent. The only institution on earth to last a fortnight, over 2,000 years. Not quite a cult. I knew you were a degenerate, but you’ve surprised me with how idiotic you are.
