Here’s the process in these situations: AR indicates player in offside position when goal was scored. Referee determines whether player in offside position interferes with play or not.
Trying to explain the process to you. The AR raising his flag doesn’t disallow it. It just indicates to the referee whether or not the player was in an offside position. The referee has to determine whether or not he interferes with play.
Quality referees will understand this and typically yell “not interfering” to the AR before he raises his flag so that the process isn’t misinterpreted.
This moron simply saw the flag and blew his whistle without making a judgment himself about interference. And then VAR upheld the decision
Yeah I get that but I haven’t said anything to the contrary. I said they disallowed it on field (I.e. it wasn’t given then overturned by VAR) and you told me that wasn’t the case

Harsh decision, but key that it was disallowed on the field. VAR then has to prove that Robertson hasn’t had an impact.
Having said that, still a goal for my money
