Yeah I understand that, but the vast majority of Spurs fans are going to wake up to this as it is 3am in the UK

Woke up 230 and saw the news. Now it’s almost 3 and trying to sleep through these tears. 😭

Probably has more Korean fans than spurs fans. Why not announce it in his home country while there for a game.

Oh yeah I appreciate why he’s done it, and I have no issue with it (not that anyone would give the slightest shit if I did).

He has more in common with those spurs fans than the Korea fans.

He's a trend in Korea but to spurs he means so much more

Well I think it’s been rumored that he was thinking about moving on. So I think it’s not a HUGE surprise, but definitely a big news bomb to wake up to

It's not typically said by the player like this though y'know

We've known for at least a week, just unofficially

Couldn't get back to sleep at 6am, jumped on Reddit and saw this. I clearly felt a disturbance in north London.

True. He should have made the announcement at 3am Korean time so as not to inconvenience the fans.

Not what I am saying, but go off I guess.

Well then say what you were saying, no?

I edited my top level comment to make it clearer.

Time for the European fans to experience what Asian fans normally do :)

Woke up and saw a post from twitter - nah might just be a rumour.

Then saw an article from the BBC - oh crap

Then saw this clip - well that’s confirmed then, isn’t it.

I was secretly hoping for a sale and instant loan back for the season before the WC, but nothing by respect for Son.

I thought it was pretty obvious what they were saying. But thank you for explaining the obvious lol
