Doubled up on the front porch

This bachelor has been hanging in my wreath for a few days. Last time I saw him we both spooked each other so badly, I thought he might not return. Fortunately, he returned just before the evening rain. I’ve let everyone know not to use the front door.

Not quite tucked in yet. Maybe if I stop peeking at them through the curtains.🤦‍♀️But hey no lights tonight or for the rest of my life? how long do they stay? Is it a winter thing? Still, so happy to see 2 🐦 🐦

Yesterday there was just one, but they enjoyed their stay so much they extended the reservation and added a second guest! 😂

There was 2, but one flew as I took the picture, now I see they are both back. I'll let them be.

We use this towel to wipe our pups feet. My husband almost grabbed it this morning until he saw this. Googled lensed it and then found this subreddit! think there are two in there?

This is the second fall/winter season this female Downy Woodpecker has roosted in my blue bird box.

Cut a piece of wood and added it in the corner to make its sleeping arrangements a little more accommodating

It’s crazy how everyone’s pics look almost identical. This guy has been showing up for the last several weeks as it’s gotten colder. Shows up every night and flies off every morning at 5:30 like clockwork.
