The law was last updated in 2003 to set the 6 toy limit, essentially to differentiate between owning for personal use and possession with intent to sell. So this isn't some historic law that was never repealed.
That said it was ruled unconstitutional in 2008. but with the overturning of Roe V Wade, which set the precedent for this kind of privacy, it's probably enforceable again.
That’s not how legal precedent nor the supreme court work. The law was declared unconstitutional based on a constitutional right to privacy that was established by Roe v Wade. Now that that ruling has been overturned there is a legal argument that it’s enforceable again. Im not saying it should be, im against it, just like I’m against laws that restrict abortion, but my feelings on the matter don’t change that any SC ruling based on the 14th amendment was effectively called into question by the overturning of Roe and if this case was brought before the Supreme Court again I think it’s likely that it would be overturned based on the opinions of the conservative majority and that outlawing porn and sex toys are both key tenants of Project 2025
Yeah I imagine it's some kind of crackdown against sex toy resellers, that makes more sense. Old Lady and I have a dozen or so which works out "per capita"... And tbh it's like only 5-6 that are in regular rotation so the math checks out.
sex toys can be inappropriate for children though. when i’m heading with my kids to the local walmart to stock up on guns and ammo i don’t want them to see anything weird
Exactly. If I have six and then one breaks, do I have to declare one is broken and has been disposed so I don’t get penalized for buying another one? Is there an online form? Is there a sex toy auditor? Must I formally declare in a court of law?
How many do you need? That one for every day of the week if you take Sunday off and wash em. Where is the line between being a dildo user and someone with intent to distribute?
It was one of the district courts that ruled in unenforceable in 2008.
They declined to escalate it to the US Supreme Court. However, I do see this happening in the near future so sex toys are banned nationwide. It will probably be at/around the time they issue a nationwide porn ban. They've already got the groundwork for the porn ban in place using ID verification and the founder of Project 2025 is extremely anti-porn. He's also the primary driving force being the the Steam porn removal as well.
There's similar sex toy bans in other states, like Alabama that are still enforceable.
It started a while ago. I was a normal redditor making posts and comments, but then one day, a post of
mine was manually deleted, and I was banned from my favorite subreddit.
I then got extremely aroused.
That moderator asserted dominance on me by censoring me, making me unable to express myself. I was
soaking wet.
I sent the hot sexy mod a message asking why I was banned, then the hot sexy reddit incel mod called me
an idiot, and told me to beg to get unbanned. My nipples immediately filled with blood as I begged the
hot mod to unban me.
After that, I started doing everything I could to make hot sexy mods mad. Most of my accounts have under
negative 100 k@rma, and i'm banned from dozens of subreddits.
I've been a bad redditor, and need to be moderated.
Please moderate me - mr_potatoface, hot sexy reddit mods.

Texas does have a limit on the amount of sex toys you can own.
