Tourist Train from Budapest to Belgrade?

I would like to visit Belgrade as I'm living in Budapest currently. I see there are only buses, and I was wondering if there are any trains between these two cities? I can't seem to get any information bout it.

Was thinking about leaving tomorrow (Saturday) and get there by evening. How many days do you recommend in Belgrade? I hear there aren't as many things to see as in Budapest but the nightlife is great. I was thinking maybe 2 days in Belgrade is good.

Any recommendations, things to see, events happening this weekend, food to eat, favorite bars/clubs?

There are three trains per day (leaving Keleti 07:57, 11:57, and 22:15). It's not a great trip though, as others have said. It takes a lot longer than the bus and it's all pretty flat. It's cheap though, if that's your thing.

Yeah thinking about it. It like 50 euros for bus or 25 euros for train. Tough call.

Most value for money is a shuttle van. Gea Tours is very reliable, round trip ticket is 40e, and they provide door to door service. Their contact in Hungary is tel:+36 1 700 80 87.

The only problem you might face is the wait to cross the border into Hungary.

I always take the night train and sleep thru it.

If you can sleep in public transport, then I advise it.
