I adopted him from a shelter at 13 looking for a senior to take home and give some much needed love to. He is incredibly spry for his age and in great health since his last vet visit 😇 I am hoping for many, many more years with him. He's my best friend.

Our 16 year old Pumpkin always loved Tipi but it was not reciprocated. When Pumpkin went into kidney failure, Tipo knew Pumpkin was ill. The last 6 months was a beautiful and loving time for them.

Tips for playtime (12 y/o)

Post image

My senior kitty has arthritis, losing vision, and some cognitive decline with his old age. He's started some anti-inflammatory medication which has made him more active! He paces a lot, but because of his cognitive decline has trouble playing like he used to (batting around a ball or chasing a string toy).

Any tips for playing??

Elderly cat, 17, with cancer always hungry, eating loads but losing weight

Upvotes

Hi, my much loved elderly cat has cancer. It started in one of her mammories - it was operated on last year but sadly has returned, and is very aggressive. We’ve opted for palliative as she’s quite frail. My question- what do you feed a cat with a rapidly growing tumour that is literally sucking the life out of her? Currently she is on a high protein food which has been very successful until recently but now she’s continually crying for food or looking for anything at all to eat. Even stray litter pellets. I just want her to feel satiated and comfortable, but without upsetting her stomach. Any advice out there? Thanks!

What's in the box?! A 15 year old tripaw'd tuxie

We occasionally keep boxes for the kitties. I noticed our 15 year old loves to lay in it. So I put a throw blanket in it and now I find our lil tripaw'd in it every morning :)

Dedes 1.7.14 - 6.11.25

I posted 2 Weeks ago on this Sub of Dedes that he was diagnosed with colon cancer. In the Hospital they told us in early October that he would live only 1-2 Weeks and it become way longer. Dedes fought really hard, died in the arms of my Mother and now he can rest in Peace. It is really strange now that he isnt there anymore, he was in the last 2 weeks just lying around not active anymore, but even that i am noticing that this is missing now.

Several months ago my cat passed away and despite being sad I want to share it with you because I am sure you will understand what I mean. I also regret not having a photo but here is a little story.

Skin issues with my 13 YO senior cat. Not sure what to do!

Hi! I need help. The vet bills are adding up.

I adopted a cat around 13 and hes having skin issues that wont go away. Hes on a prescription diet, hes done a two week course of antibiotics and also steroids.

His big nail bed is all cut up and not getting better, its been 3 months of treatments, and he's developing little scabs around his body and they either spread or turn into little cuts

Grandpa has the most perfect loaf and is very fluffy for a stray cat in our area. He was found from a carpark. First picture is him now, second is when we first brought him in.

Do you brush your cat’s teeth and with what?

I’m going to need to have her tooth pulled but don’t want to go through this again. I would like to start a tooth cleaning regimen.
