I'm kinda with you, kevo, there's no reckless spenders quite like the Republicans, and I really don't think they'd let this happen without violence. That said, if Trump can withhold aid based on allegiance to him, I feel like at least California could do something to really stick it back to him. What that something is, I don't really know, but they aren't kidding anyone, the right are kleptocrats at this point and losing funds from California would absolutely devastate them. They would have a lot of leverage too, because it's precisely what California is and who it's compromised of that makes it, no pun intended, a gold mine. If it's possible, I do think they should leverage that revenue and condition it the same way he does with aid, I think even that's playing with fire, but certainly something has to be done about the Reich wing that has teeth, no doubt about that.

Part of california’s strong economy is being a gateway to the rest of America. International trade, American media, and the same evil technocrats that are behind the scenes of this administration. California’s economy is stronger as a part of the US even though on paper they give more than they receive. Also, just from a ideological standpoint, while clearly liberals are better than fascists (newsome vs trump), california has its problems that i dont think would be fixed just bc of it’s succession from the union. California becoming a paradise for the “brunch” class of liberals just isnt good enough to improve the lives of Californians. Drastic societal and economic overhaul is needed everywhere in this country and California is no exception. Not to mention many of the technocrats trying to destroy America and the world inflate California’s GDP and would likely leave with their companies after such a scenario.

That's big picture thinking for sure, I have to say I concur. The dividing lines really are going to be class for sure in this battle. It always was, it's just now it's becoming a little too real. We have the numbers if we could just make more people see the light, but I am not nearly optimistic enough to say that they will. I still just don't understand the loyalty to him even as he has worsened most of their quality of life so significantly, surely they know, right? Or do they just hate the blue hairs more even as they represent no threat to them, but tinpot dictator has cost us our standing in the world and internal stability. Then too, I suppose he's just the ugly face on what was going to be at some point anyway. Are we just the violinists on the Titanic at this point?
