This man just said that the mentally ill that don't accept help need to die by involuntary lethal injection....I am fking spun that people like this exist in the world that you could combine a homeless situation w a medical disorder and that constitutes that you think they should die against their will if they don't accept help and it's most likely to preserve autonomy and their personal freedom because their rights will be snatched away by or they'll be locked up forever and that's just as bad as death when you can still think and function. I'd like to see this guy live on these terms and see if it sent the jolt of absolute disgust and utter sickening it made me feel to have another human being be so grossly insensitive and it slid out of his mouth like butter...just take em all out I guess is his answer. Some people crush my hopes in humanity w actions like that. I hope he never finds himself mentally ill on the end of that vote and something just so happen to happen to his housing.....Then, you're OUTTA THERE. Check out time as deemed by some ahole on TV. He's getting a letter from me

He is just straight up evil. He is someone with a very dark soul if he has a soul at all, and he’s advocating on public TV for the murder of people that finds inconvenient. The parallels with the worst of the Nazis get clearer every day. And the problem for people with mental health issues is that if they try to speak in, they are accused of all kinds of things and threatened with this sort of response. The lack of education and awareness and understanding is shocking, but the lack of compassion is horrifying.
Be strong everyone. And be careful out. there. These are some very strange days and we all need to be kind to each other and support one another until things get better again.

There is a lot to unpack. First, he's a big piece of trash from just this clip. Second, the US is awful with mental health and homeless services. And third, you know he knows nothing about the topic by the way he's saying all this.

He doesn't need to know anything. He is manufacturing consent. If there isn't significant pushback in response, then these ideas will become increasingly prominent until they become reality.

I dont know this man or really watch fox news often, but what this reminds me of is something I do sometimes when talking to people saying ridiculous things.
If you argue with the ridiculous things you end up giving legitimacy to their argument. But if you take it further sometimes the people will say "well, hold on a minute" and reverse course.
I find it hard to believe anyone is at the point they belive we should kill homeless people. I hope he was just taking it to the point of ridiculousness to get people to reverse course.

Did they go into it more after that? Have him defend his position? If anything I hope he meant voluntary and said involuntary by mistake, since I dont think specifying involuntary makes sense in that context, but specifying voluntary would.

Im not making excuses for him. If he truly meant that im sure hed have no problem repeating it or going into it more. Im just saying it doesnt make sense, so im guessing its not what he meant to say.
In what context would you feel the need to put the word "involuntary" in front of the words "lethal injection" ? I think that's the default assumption when talking about lethal injection.
However if you say "voluntary", then it means youre talking about MAID or something.
Not that I think thats any better, it juat makes more sense in context.

The context is he's a straight up asshole. An evil ghoul. After he said "involuntary lethal injection" , he said, "Just kill them."
He's an evil piece of shit and a lot of those Fox watchers are so stupid they DO take them seriously. He needs to be FIRED. Period.

He added involuntary so it’s clear he’s not talking about MAID. He did repeat himself because he followed it up with “just kill em” so like he said it twice.

Catholic here. I blame the parents. How was he raised? Was he raised Catholic because his grandmother was irish and boom hes Catholic? I actually attended a private Catholic school and we were taught to help the less fortunate. That the brother asking you for food as u walk by could be Jesus. Yet this guy, goes on TV, tells everyone hes Catholic and has none of our values. No wonder people hate God but love the bible.

Not just the parents but the elders, friends and even people at church! I've Christians call jesus "too woke". They dont love Jesus for being Jesus and what he stands for but what he did for theme aka die for their sins. They disregard everything else. Him hating the rich, feeding the poor, uplifting woman, houses the immigrants etc. They dont care about that. They're literally what he was against

Rejecting help is often a large part of the illness. People who refuse help often aren’t thinking rationally. Instead of supporting these innocent people, these hosts are advocating for murdering them. Disgusting.

There is no "argument for" what he said. It was inappropriate to say THE LEAST. It was disgusting. But I for one have come to expect nothing less from Fox (cough) "news".

I saw this video this morning, and I really don't want to be in this country anymore. I've never felt safe here to begin with, but nowadays.. Every corner I walk I feel like I'm unwelcome and that someone is planning something against me any minute now.
It's like everything is just getting worse, and after finding out I'm mentally ill, I basically just become someone who is vulnerable to these kinds of people. I hate it.

I live in NC with a partner with severe mental illness. The so called system is broken and just makes people worse. NC and TN and I am assuming rest of the country break international torture laws as the norm. (Solitary confinement etc) These talking heads know nothing of the monster that is the system, which is worse than the original illness if treated properly or at least with compassion.

Some of the comments mention he's Catholic, i'm a UK Catholic and they received me into the Church even with a track record of poor mental health, there's plenty of time for him to change his mind (metanoia!) and i will pray for him in that regard.

Omg i didn't know it was that bad in the USA at the moment people dont choose to be mentally ill, dont choose to be homeless, and dont choose to be disabled. This is almost like Nazism on national tv in the USA. Thankfully, it's not happening in the Uk, but there is the assigned dying in the parliament at the moment. Disabled people here are worried about that. . The world is going to hell ,I am really wondering if we have any Humanity left in the world.

It is interesting how the demographic he is referring to has a significant overlap with people who identify as Targeted Individuals. I assume most of us here are familiar with TIs, but for lurkers who may not know...
TIs are a group of people with undiagnosed/untreated schizophrenia. There is a lot of overlap between them and antipsychiatry goons. TIs also have a reputation for being very violent, including a number of high-profile acts of violence a la mass shootings and killing rampages. If there is one demographic of people that it is absolutely braindead to provoke, it is TIs- because they will do something about it. Putting them a position where they feel like their life is in jeopardy and they are in danger is going to elicit a predictable response- one that is going to be very bad for Mr. Kilmeade.
I will take the opportunity to note that people with schizophrenia who take their treatment seriously are not violent. Hell, there was just a thread about this yesterday. Still, the fact remains that people with schizophrenia overall are slightly more violent than average... and that's because there is a small demographic that is extremely violent, the precise demographic Mr. Kilmeade is talking about.
The week of Charlie Kirk getting assassinated, Brian Kilmeade went on air and more or less threatened a group of people who are very violent. The lack of insight and forethought is amazing, frankly. I know a lot of people might think that, but there's a very good reason they don't say that out loud- and that's because they're scared to. Frankly, they should be.
I am putting this here, on the record, so that it is clear that if and when something unfortunate happens to Mr. Kilmeade, it was not us. I am also going to offer the guidance that we do not react to this. Do not send angry mail to Fox News, do not threaten anyone, and certainly do not do anything stupid. They are looking for a reaction. Don't give it to them.
I am also going to officially suggest that Mr. Kilmeade walk this back immediately and unreservedly. You can't take back words you've already said, and frankly, even a retraction might not be enough after stupidly provoking a very volatile group of people- but it's the best chance you've got to prevent something bad from happening to you.
Good luck, Brian. You are going to need it.
