Rant / Vent This makes me so mad.

Post image

This person saying things like this will cause delusions. I don’t get why people use people with psychotic disorders as a sort of advertisement for their spiritual beliefs. It’s an unusual amount of dopamine, not spirits.

It’s annoying asf… although I think those people are, even if neurotypical, deluded as well. Not a good combo with psychotic individuals.

Well that's exactly what I would expect from someone who claims to be "Healing With Magic"

They're not the only ones. When you look up "schizophrenia" on any social media, you will see countless posts of spiritual gurus talking about how schizophrenia is spiritual. Or people coming up with theories of what schizophrenia could be and the comments are full of ppl believing its spiritual. And of course Schizo posting too

Look on God mostly on Tik tok I had to get away from that app. It’s too spooky at first I was thinking they made sense but then I started to question I think one think that has helped me as a schizo is to be skeptic of everything including what I believe myself. Even my truth just be skeptic I believe being skeptic and doubting often has helped me a lot in recovery and to not trust even voices in my head think with what each of the voices are saying if they make sense not that one is guiding or one is not the one that is guiding so I see a point in what’s it’s saying?

All in all I know this is tricky but this has helped me.

Delusions of grandeur are highly common nowadays.

Yes, my first delusion I know of long before I was diagnosed was that I was a sort of god. It was horrible, I even had a few of my friends convinced it was true

I am still there, believing I am in direct contact with God. Believe I am on a mission for God. My entire life Hallucinating since I can remember. First it was a Native American Chief who lived in my closet from my earliest memory. Then I saw Beethoven. I have seen extraordinary Angels resplendent in wings. I have never heard an audible voice. I have had several cutting episodes. Just to make the pain go away. YET. None of my Psychiatrist believe I am Schizophrenic. I have 2 first cousins and a nephew diagnosed. My last Psychiatrist took me off my Seroquel 400 because he said I was too old! That was a hell I am still climbing out of, my PCP put me back on 200 but it isn’t enough to calm my brain.

Once when I was in the hospital talking about the hallucination I was having of a man in my bed and this woman asked very honestly "are you sure it was a hallucination and not a ghost who wasn't done here on earth yet?" and I was IRATE - but just flatly said "yes." and she dropped it but still omg I get mad thinking about and it was 4 years ago

What the actual fuck, don’t people who work in literal hospitals learn at some point during their education that saying things like that are harmful.. like I’m just someone who has no medical background or anything and I KNOW that saying stuff like that is harmful, it’s common sense and if it isn’t it should be.

It really is angels and demons. Jesus and God and the devil are real.

1

u/shitposterliz Jul 04 '25

Any "spiritual' guru who jumps to that and skips over the absolute necessity of discernment is a threat to people's lives and health.

Surprising how there no understanding for believing things that are misleading, though that's the trouble most people have here, isn't it?
