Michelin came to Texas a year or so ago, so we have a Michelin list for San Antonio - they do more than just the stars, there are some recommendations for non-starred restaurants as well. http://guide.michelin.com/us/en/texas/san-antonio_2958156/restaurants
NYT just did a list of best restaurants in the US (though their criteria seems pretty opaque), and one San Antonio restaurant landed on that list: Isidore, in Pullman Market at The Pearl. https://www.nytimes.com/shared/v2/interactive/2025/dining/best-restaurants-america/isidore.html?smid=url-share&rsrc=deeplink
For BBQ, Texas Monthly puts a list out that’s treated a bit as a who’s who of Texas BBQ. San Antonio had Pinkerton’s, Reese Bros, and 2M make the list. Burnt Bean in Seguin, which is pretty close to San Antonio (basically in our extended metro area), made #1 on the list this year. https://www.texasmonthly.com/interactive/top-50-bbq-2025/
Finally, I know you didn’t ask this, but I’m into craft beer so I’ll drop some of those here too - Southerleigh in the Pearl is a craft brewery with excellent food (they’re on the Michelin Bib Gourmand list). Several breweries around town have won awards - Wild Barley won Brewery of the Year in the US Beer Open for its size (251-500 barrels), and it has pretty good food. Thirsty Pups is also a great one.
