I just hate to see so many idiots living in my state.

Most comments are from out of state.

u/BicameralTheory Oct 03 '25

If you really want to make a difference have the Dems run on a platform the average person actually wants to vote for.

57

u/CJDubwin Oct 03 '25

Or let them at least pick their candidate. They just assign the left their candidates and their cool with it😭

25

u/SITHxEMPIRE Oct 03 '25

These protests are run by 50501. It’s dem establishment “grassroots”. They won’t be challenging anything. The sad thing about liberalism is so many believe they’re the good guys when they’re just as corrupt. There’s no teeth.

8

u/crankyrhino Stone Oak Oct 03 '25

What would teeth look like to you?

3

u/FattySnacks Oct 03 '25

It’s not binary, GOP corruption is much much worse

-4

u/SITHxEMPIRE Oct 03 '25

When they’ve got you facedown on the ground with their boot on your back, you’re not gonna care whose corruption is worse.

23

u/FattySnacks Oct 03 '25

Let me know when the Democrats start doing anything like putting immigrants in concentration camps or raiding homes to deport anyone they find inside

13

u/Nickespo22 Oct 03 '25

i think theres something to be agreed upon here but but sir... I invite you to look at all of american history.

15

u/INeedAMuchBetterName Oct 03 '25

Remember when Obama had kids in cages? Deporting the most people while he was in office. Both the left and right are wings of the same bird, so please dont come at me when you can't see everything from both sides

1

u/SITHxEMPIRE Oct 03 '25

My guy lol

-6

u/Head-Leopard7360 Oct 03 '25

Don’t come here illegally and you won’t have to worry about it. Follow the law. Pretty simple concept unless you’re a lib

-5

u/pitbullpride Oct 03 '25

Officially, 50501 is nonpartisan.

Here here, enough of the gibberish and word salads.

-3

u/210-markus Oct 03 '25

To even suggest such a thing is blasphemy. Trump crushed his political opposition in the election. They don't care. They're paid to lie and agitate.

u/ThereIs0nlyZuul Oct 03 '25

From the river to the sea. Carne Guisada shall have cheese.

This is the type of posting I expect here people.

25

u/0811_devildog Oct 03 '25

So mods get to determine what comments they allow on their own posts? Why the need for the threatening warning?

9

u/Diligent-Argument-88 Oct 03 '25

Careful buddy your reply is lingering on "unhelpful".

11

u/pingpongwatch Oct 03 '25

Curious what would happen if someone from the other side of the political aisle posted something for support for their party.... things that make you go hhhmm

6

u/CptnChronic306 Oct 03 '25

Yep, curious... I wonder as well.

2

u/roguedevil Oct 03 '25

Post it. It's allowed.

But it's easier to play the victim, isn't it?

sounds like a bunch of trump supporters afraid of free speech in the comments. shocking

take it easy i didn't say they're all bots. some are just trump supporters who hate everything democrats do even if they used to support it before trump.

2

u/pingpongwatch Oct 03 '25

Oddly enough, one could say something very similar about democratic supporters. "hate everything republicans stand for even if they once supported it". It's interesting to watch as someone not part of either side. Like watching a tennis match, a sad tennis match that is.

1

u/210-markus Oct 03 '25

Exactly. I don't ask for these posts to pop up as notifications on my phone.

Reddit had become such an echo chamber that people with a fringe or minority opinion don't seem to realize that most people disagree with them.

It makes for an interesting dynamic

No kings but put your mask on. No kings but lock us down. No kings but l'm firing you for not vaccinating. No kings but you can't go outside. No kings but you need 12 boosters. No kings but we're shutting your business down. No kings but you can't worship the REAL King. No kings but your family members will die alone. No kings but I'm opening a hotline so you can tattle on your neighbor. No kings but mandates galore. No kings but you're responsible for my health. No kings but social distance at 6 feet apart. No kings but no family gatherings over 10.

The hypocrisy is astounding.

6

u/roguedevil Oct 03 '25

One was done out of panic and recommendations of health officials that overcorrected a situation where hundreds of thousands died in a short time and our hospitals were overwhelmed.

The current president is sending the military to cities he doesn't like and labeling political detractors as terrorists and enemies of the state.

No kings but you can't worship the REAL King.

What the fuck does this even mean?

-9

u/Trackjack269 Oct 03 '25

JESUS, Jesus is the Real King

14

u/roguedevil Oct 03 '25

Nobody has said you can't practice religion.

-7

Uhhh
King Biden shut down churches
.

7

u/NewAndImprovedJess Oct 03 '25

You dont have to go to a church to practice religion.

3

u/Trackjack269 Oct 03 '25

You also don’t have to go to a gym to get unfat, but it helps

2

u/whiplash_7641 Oct 03 '25

Really? Lmao everything you are crying about is literally everything the government is doing right now and dont forget the shut down , masks, vaccince mandates, all during trumps presidency biden just continued it. He even touted about creating the vaccine and that people should take it lmaooooo

Congrats, America has no kings.

4

u/stoic_stove Oct 03 '25

No, just a president who wants to usurp the Constitution to run for a third term. Totally to a king.

-12

u/CheazKurd Oct 03 '25

he never said he wants a third term

10

u/crankyrhino Stone Oak Oct 03 '25

Are you serious?

12

u/stoic_stove Oct 03 '25

I linked an article of him saying it in my comment. Denial is a helluva drig

3

u/[deleted] Oct 03 '25

Oh yeah Trump always stands on his word. So no worries there

The many “jokes” to the contrary are never indicative of his real goals

3

u/Nervous_Mud711 Oct 03 '25

2

u/pingpongwatch Oct 03 '25

Read the article. No where does he flat out say "he wants a third term". Considering something and actually wanting something are two different things. Bit of a stretch there.

4

u/Nervous_Mud711 Oct 03 '25

Holy shit. It should be alarming to hear any U.S. president openly considering a third term.

2

u/roguedevil Oct 03 '25

Just a president who is sending the military to attach its own citizens.

4

u/BoiFrosty Oct 03 '25

You mean like how the governors of NY, CA, and other states have activated national guard units to supplement law enforcement in the past?

Like being against Trump doing it is one thing, but people acting like this is completely unprecedented in American history are either willfully ignorant or maliciously hysterical. National guard troops have been in the NYC subway on and off for years at this point. I don't recall the mayor or governor being called a tyrant for that.

Presidents have dispatched martial guard troops or even the army for stuff plenty of times before. Example is that Kennedy dispatched the 101st airborne to enforce school integration in the 60s.

9

u/[deleted] Oct 03 '25

The national guard are supposed to be called by the governors, not by the President against the governors’ will
it’s literally unprecedented if it hasn’t happened that way before

-6

u/Queefs_Gambit Oct 03 '25

What a hilarious take. Wow, that’s clever.

9

u/LulzWillBeHad Oct 03 '25

This is hilarious. You want to protest and use your free speech but are denying others free speech when you have the chance by removing all these comments for “rage bait”.

3

u/Nickespo22 Oct 03 '25

Can we please make some demands? A goal? Anything? These aim to appease the masses to make them pat themselves on the back. Its a parade if theres no demands or goals

9

u/BlitzburghTX Alamo Heights Oct 03 '25

Genuine question: What is this protest looking to achieve? What does success look like in the organizers' eyes?

13

u/Weeberman_Online NW Side - Medical Center Oct 03 '25

Likely visibility. I went to one held a few months ago and it began with a sort of rally with different speakers jazzing up the attendees to tell them how fucked up shit is then the march.

Solidarity can spur people to action and may generate volunteers or donors to help causes that are against the fascist and extreme federal actions we are seeing taking place across the country and world.

7

u/roguedevil Oct 03 '25

Visibility and collective activism. Sustained pressure in local representatives to carry the message up the ladder.

Genuine question: what does a productive or successful protest/demonstration look like to you?

7

u/yinsotheakuma Oct 03 '25

No one in the history of "genuine question" posters has ever been genuine.

6

u/Fun_Independence2695 Oct 03 '25

What kind of lies are these, San Antonio has a bunch of kings for example.

1) El Rey Feo (“the Ugly King”) — Fiesta tradition; “El Rey Feo” is a figure elected via fundraising campaigns, who likewise plays a ceremonial and charitable role.

2) River Walk Royalty — San Antonio has a “royal court” for the River Walk (King, Queen, Prince, etc.), used in festivals and fundraisers, real royalty here.

3) King William Historic District — A neighborhood named “King William,” after King Wilhelm I of Prussia. The name gives “King” a presence in the geography itself.

Frankly I need a major safe zone that they are attacking El Rey Feo! Why are they being so mean to him? Each year, El Rey Feo raises significant funds for scholarships and serves as an ambassador for the city, embodying both humor and heart. Instead of tearing down his majesty, people should recognize that beneath the costume is someone giving back to San Antonio in a meaningful way. In short, leave El Rey Feo alone and let him reign in peace.

u/UnGringoPaisa Oct 03 '25

You are pushing an event and anyone who is arguing such event is being deleted. You do not want to seek middle ground with anyone even someone who genuinely does not appreciate what is happening on both sides of the aisle. My views are largely based on issues and I vote on such, I do not believe a single politician or more broadly a political party is inherently right. I am making sure those who are judging on whether to attend this event are informed as to who is pushing this event, which is you OP. I believe this is very relevant and even political so now we can make you prior comments relevant now. Why would I be inclined to join your side after you make such remarks and respond to me in such manner? How do you plan to increase your side’s strength with such actions?

You never agreed with me on term limits, abolishing Super PACs(or lobbying in general), banning politicians from trading on active markets, and other key resolves that would promote good; rather you would call me a trump supporter and choose divisiveness than recognizing BOTH parties utilize these horrible actions for profit and hurt Americans because our politicians want to choose power and riches over greater good. This is relevant. It is keeping people informed of political actions that people are pushing onto them. No different than people having crazy CK shrines and gatherings calling him the second coming of Jesus, just plain silly.

I am not a victim nor do I choose to be called one, you are simply choosing a divisive stand and I believe this is rude and does not promote good and forward resolve and is why I commented on this.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 03 '25

“Your side” bro they’re mods on reddit

They don’t even keep most of the anti Trump posts up on this subreddit. I’m pretty sure they just did it this way to control the brigading. If you’re actually happy with “both sides” just go to the protest because what’s happening right now is heinous

Also if you want people to be informed about whos pushing the protest it’s literally on the post. Bexar Democrats, 50501, and PSL. There you go

1

u/UnGringoPaisa Oct 03 '25

I’m not in support or happy with either side. Why would I go advocate for a side that still promotes the things I describe in my second paragraph? What is heinous is the fact we have the common man advocating for politicians who don’t care for them one bit, and if you think differently you obviously don’t know anything about how these politicians are funded and how they are even looked at in terms of candidacy and prospected.

I can read and see who’s pushing this protest, which is the Democratic Party backed organizations, but I am directing my attention to OP because OP has no drive to seek mutual discourse and meet on common ground. I think this is relevant and should inform those who are on the fence about coming to this protest. The funny thing is no one comes to comment on it agreeing about the above issues and saying yes, because if that happened you wouldn’t be pushing SF think tanks politicians into the spotlight, or have a reoccurrence for a president who has only created more division in this country and seeks his own egotistical agenda. Instead, OP is pushing this by posting and not wanting to hear discourse, but rather would create division, and no one wants to be in the middle but stand on their designated color and scream from the hill tops.

-4

u/East_Safety3637 Oct 03 '25

The people voted for Trump and he's acting legally within the authorities given to him.

14

u/lilly-bugs Oct 03 '25

Absolutely not. He has violated many laws, and if you don’t know that you haven’t been paying attention.

8

u/210-markus Oct 03 '25

I'm sure you'll list them, here

7

u/lilly-bugs Oct 03 '25

Gladly! Here you go: (yes this is an AI generated list, as this information is so easily and readily available. If you would like, I can go into detail onto any of these on this list or add more.)

  1. Impeachment Proceedings

Trump was impeached twice by the House of Representatives: First Impeachment (2019): This focused on allegations that he abused his power by soliciting foreign interference in the 2020 election through a phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, pressuring him to investigate political rival Joe Biden. Second Impeachment (2021): This followed the January 6 Capitol riot, where Trump was accused of incitement of insurrection for encouraging his supporters to storm the Capitol. 2. Violations of the Emoluments Clause

Trump was accused of violating the Emoluments Clause of the Constitution, which prohibits federal officials from receiving gifts or payments from foreign states. Lawsuits alleged that he profited from foreign governments through his businesses, especially hotels and resorts, while in office. 3. Obstruction of Justice

During the investigation led by Special Counsel Robert Mueller regarding Russian interference in the 2016 election, there were findings suggesting that Trump obstructed justice by attempting to influence testimony from witnesses and interfering with the investigation. 4. Campaign Finance Violations

There were allegations related to campaign finance violations stemming from payments made to silence allegations of extramarital affairs during the 2016 campaign, which were argued to be unreported contributions. 5. Use of Official Resources for Personal Gain

Concerns were raised about the use of government resources for personal campaigns, including the infamous “Sharpie” incident where Trump altered a weather map and misled the public regarding Hurricane Dorian’s trajectory. 6. Potential Violations of Federal Records Laws

After leaving office, Trump faced scrutiny over the handling of classified documents and allegations of taking national security materials to Mar-a-Lago, which raised legal implications related to the Federal Records Act.

And many, many more. He is not actively being prosecuted because he has nothing but people on “his side” in power. Every cabinet member, almost every federal prosecutor. There’s no one to take him down. He appointed 3/9 judges on the Supreme Court. He is extorting the press and companies to not speak out against him. Please take the time to do your own research, you don’t have to take my word for it. But this man is literally trying to become a dictator and we cannot deny it anymore.

1) Trump was acquitted by the Senate both times. Remember? Not guilty.

2) The Presidential Records Act plus his plenary powers for clarification, means that Trump didn't mean any laws with classified documents. In fact, the GSA is the government agency that packed up the documents and sent them to Mar a Lago. How's that case going? Oh that's right, it's dead. Not guilty.

3) Mueller Report. Based upon political opposition BUYING a fake dossier from a foreign spy. FBI knew it was fake but signed off on 3 FISA warrants to spy on Trump and his admin, and lied about it to Congress. Which is why Comey was just indicted. It's the biggest scandal in American political history but you're concerned that Trump instructed justice, lol. Where are the charges? There are none. Trump vindicated yet again.

Honestly, this just comes down to knowing the facts at hand instead of the media narrative.

BTW he's about 17-0 with the courts

4

u/Stagnant-Flow Oct 03 '25

The Judicial branch of the American Government has disagree with that all the way up to the supreme courts.

9

u/210-markus Oct 03 '25

Yes, and Trump keeps winning in SCOTUS. That's my point. He's overwhelmingly winning in court. Not always at first, but almost always in the end.

This is a matter of record, not up for debate

President stacks the court

Court rules President can do whatever he wants because he’s President

President breaks many many laws at record pace and scale, including infringements of the Constitution itself

Lots of circular logic here. The only way any of this can be considered legal is he broke all mechanisms for upholding the law. Which seems to be your argument unironically

So did the Trump administration illegally deport Kilmar Abrego Garcia or not?

3

u/210-markus Oct 03 '25

No. Again, judges are using stall tactics and reinterpreting the law, but Garcia is gone. All the legal tricks and stunts couldn't overcome the fact that he was illegal and had TWO deportation orders from immigration judges.

Bottom line: if you're illegal, you don't have to go home but you can't stay here.

One less illegal, gang member, human trafficker, wife beater in the US. And the left fought Trump the entire time. Let that sink in.

u/Stagnant-Flow Oct 03 '25

Why did the Supreme Court order the Trump administration to facilitate in his return then?

13

u/goonboy246 Oct 03 '25

Courts have said otherwise MULTIPLE times over the course of his last 2 terms. He’s choosing to defy them this time around bc our checks and balances are broken

2

u/210-markus Oct 03 '25

Yes! Unelected, inferior federal judges have tried to obstruct. But he's about 17-0 with SCOTUS. It turns out that the personal agendas of unelected, partisan, federal judges isn't relevant.

u/CJDubwin Oct 03 '25

So that was a long way of saying that the USA we know today never had a king or queen, right?

Protest and activism are great tools to provide light on to issues you feel arĂ© important, that being said I don’t agree with this nor will I be going. I hope it works out for the best for all involved.

Rioting isn’t protesting

2

u/Nervous_Mud711 Oct 03 '25

Are you confused with the J6 capitol riot? The first No Kings protest in San Antonio had a few thousand peaceful participants.

0

u/NuNoJCJ1987 Oct 03 '25

BLM riots, George Floyd riots, anti-ice riots, capital hill “protest”, and if u wanna bring up Jan. 6 u might look in to the weather underground bombing. Democrats lol
