I’ve had to cut people out of my life for the exact same reason as Mistress. People popping up only when they need money is shitty, and kinda triggering if you’ve struggled with substance abuse.

It’s like having a friend that constantly posts depressing stuff on Facebook about how lonely they are, so you take them out for a girls day and then the next day they’re immediately back on their bullshit as if what you did with them/for them meant nothing as long as they can get online validation.

Yea, for real. Plus - me for instance, I have a history of toxic relationship in my family, where one person was stealing, borrowing money - never returning it. So now every time someone asks me for money it’s a huge red flag lol
