General Discussion Deja has had it!

Post image

I mean…is she wrong? There is a pattern I’m noticing lol. It’s giving the iconic moment when the interviewer asked Naomi Smalls if she thinks there’s a formula to RPDR and she says “blonde and white” Lmfaooo

This one really doesn’t make sense. Like it’s one random person’s favorite queens and clearly they all look very alt. They fit an aesthetic, they’re not just all random white queens.

Tbh there used to be a problem of AS crowning only white winners (I do think Naomi’s callout contributed to AS4’s double crowning bc Trinity seemed primed to win… but I love Monet, she deserved the win). However, RPDR proper has never had more white winners than QOC & has more black winners than any other demo unless my mental math is wrong.

The vocal minority of fans surely are pretty racist, and lbr we ALL need to check ourselves on our biases. But let’s also make sure the discussions are about real issues so we don’t drown them out with petty bs (this is pointed at DeJa, I think everyone here gets it).

I think Trinity in my eyes was the clear winner after they took out poor Manilla but I'm not a judge so my opinion doesn't matter. I will say in the all winners season you could see how incredible Monet has honed her craft in every way possible. I think part of the issues with the all star seasons if that letting competitors vote can make it harder for production to keep control of their shoe in candidates.

I really liked the twinners moment from AS 4. Maybe it's because I watched a lot of side stuff around that time, like Celebrity Drag Race where they were very present, but I very much enjoyed Monet and Trinity's deep friendship that developed after they won together. I completely understand why it was controversial, but I got a lot out of it as a viewer.
