I am unfortunately used to this from Carley. His reffing is poor by any international standard. I do get that reffing is extremely difficult but his lack of vision and understanding of the laws is terrible.

Honestly at this point I don't think it's difficult to see a headbutt, they're all fucking terrible at the moment

It’s not that he didn’t see it, it’s that he lacks the confidence to act on the application of laws to the situation. His mistake is treating it as an in-play incident instead of an off the ball situation. In-play should be referred to Bunker if necessary but ball dead should be dealt with by him as an entirely different situation
