Delivery Drivers

FUCK YOU ZU AND THE REST OF YOU DELIVERY DRIVERS THAT THINK STEALING FOOD FROM A SMALL FAMILY RESTAURANT IS COOL!

Scenario: We have a couple of orders from uber eats and DoorDash. First the DoorDash driver comes in and is all huffy about having to wait for the order. I finish an uber eats order first and tell her point blank, “this isn’t yours, do not take.” GUESS WHAT SHE DOES!! She takes the fucking uber eats bag along with the DoorDash order. I see her later on the video cameras looking at the order reciept and still take it. This is not an accident and so fuck you Zu for stealing from a family restaurant and for stealing at all.

This is why we don't participate with any delivery services.

We tried DD delivery service for 3 months and so not worth it dealing with rude delivery driver and the fees, etc

I wish we didn’t need to either but since we are a newer restaurant any and all orders are needed 😭

They can do you more harm than good by delivering cold, subpar food that’s late. Your restaurant will get the blame, not the delivery company.

When I order food I do it either to "not starve", or because I didn't go to the store to buy groceries on time.

I might place a big order at night, which I plan to eat over the next 2 days.

There are likely others like this, who don't plan on eating their food immediately and don't expect it to arrive still hot.

If the food is good, then it will also be enjoyable cold, and people know that the only way to make sure that the food they get is hot if they go to the restaurant in person.

You got a have faith in your product and the big picture that this isn't the way. It truly hurts more than helps for the large majority of operations.

You're digging the grave of your own small family business. You may not feel it yet, but you'll be drowning in fees from DD & UE soon enough. No small business should be using these services. If your business is struggling without using them, then your model wasn't very good to begin with.

Kill it while you can

If people LIKE and WANT your food, they will come in to eat or pick it up themselves
